After reading reviews I bought the 6.5, half a size up, and they're a great fit. Beautiful leather, lovely, versatile color, and really elegant. I have a narrow foot, and the fit is ideal but if you run wide, heads up, because the shank is on the narrow side of medium, and the toe box might be tight for you. They slip on and off easily, have a great fit around the ankle - they skin, and don't flop, as some Chelsea and other ankle boots can. I love the sole; there's a nice non-skid rubber bit, but it's not bulky. These will look equally great with jeans as with tights and skirts or leggings, and with dresses all year (where are my fellow GenX people?). I've been thinking about these since last year and debated about the price point, but the quality is excellent, and I expect them to last a long time, and get a beautiful patina with wear. If you have high arches consider an insole, though they're surprisingly comfortable for being as flat as they are. I wouldn't miss out on these; they're going to be in heavy rotation next to my Sorels. It doesn't surprise me to see so many reviews about people wearing them in Europe; they are that cool, that understated, that hip, without looking at all like you're trying to be trendy. I love these boots although it’s been too hot to wear them outside I’ve been wearing them in the house. I usually have a very difficult time finding shoes that fit so hesitated buying them on line. My daughter loves hers and highly recommended them and there’s a great return policy so I gave it a try. I did return the first size 10, surprisingly too small, reordered an 11 (shocking!) and they fit perfectly with a insole and lightweight weight socks. They are a beautiful gray suede, no heel (a must), a nice cushioned foot bed, easy to get off and on. I think they are very fairly priced. Love them! ... show more

I fell in love the second I opened the box. The boots are beautiful. Very slimming, and not clunky at all. The color is gorgeous (even though my ginger glazed is a bit darker than pictures). Quality leather and they smell good! I ordered half size up and they fit a bit long but tight on my little toes. I wore them around the house on the first day. And wore them to a muddy farm the second day. They seemed to stretch out and didn’t hurt the little toes. Definitely waterproofed. Looks nice exactly what I imagined. Ordered my true size however, couldn't slip in easily. Once I did, thought it will break in, but no such luck. Now I have to return. Maybe a bigger size would do, but I'm afraid. Hate to make returns. Can't star because it's going back. No one wins on this.

These boots are okay. I’m size 7 and they fit perfectly. Slightly big around the ankle area. They don’t look as expensive as they are. They look well made and they might last a while. Time will tell. Would not buy any other boots from this company, which I was considering doing. Just okay boots, not fabulous. Meh. Wore these boots 3 times— heel is peeling off. I have been looking for a Chelsea boot that I can wear during the winter and spring months. These shoes are snug fitting, you will be needing some light socks, for I do have wider feet. What I liked about them is the ease with which I was able to take them off and on during a flight. I tried breaking them in but what worked was one long walk in a soaking rain in Amsterdam.
