We installed this item to serve as an external drop box for our church. It works perfectly as advertised and I would recommend the product. Some commented that there were no instructions, thus they had difficulty figuring out exactly where to cut the holes to install the two pieces. The important measurement to know is the overall width of the wall that you’re installing the sloping slot through. In our case 7 1/2 inches. That distance must be the same as the vertical distance between the two holes cut - i.e., for us, the top of the outside hole had to be 7 1/2 inches higher than the top of the inside hole. Got this to go through a wall in to a room. Install took about 40 minutes. Nice heavy metal with powder coating paint. Works like a charm!

This product is really well built and designed. Make sure you have at least 6 inches of clearance below the receiving end, or magazines and larger envelopes may get jammed up. Need above average DIY skills if installing in a wall with studs and crossmembers and if you want it to look professional. Very low key look. Would buy again. ... show more

It is a bit tricky to install on an existing wall. Getting the angle right requires some patience and plan to do some moderate patching on plaster or drywall. It works well to allow mail into the house with almost zero chance of being stolen.

This is not the correct size for US Mail Delivery. My postal carrier said it was to small and I checked the USPS website and confirmed it. It was very tough to install, no instructions and the worst part I now have a hole in my wall and need to find something larger to meet the USPS requirement, frustrated!!!! ... show more
