Great quality set of gauges and nice sturdy case. Very easy to read. The length of the gauges are .780 long except the two one inch gauges are 1.170 long. This is something I won't use every day at home but today I had to identify a screw and it was m6-1.0 and so much faster and easier than using pitch gauges. This is a well-made tool, very useful for sorting that batch of miscellaneous nuts and bolts you've accumulated. However, because of its dimensions it is really only useful for sizing hardware that is loose and can be brought to the checker. If you need to size something in place, say a bolt down in an engine bay, you'll probably be better off with one of the sets with detachable pieces. I have mine hung behind a cabinet door in my garage workshop, so it is readily accessible. Having priced out others, I believe this is a good value.
