Let me start that I wasn’t impressed with the previous Thomas sets I have purchased, mainly because the instructions were horrible and the pieces and parts did not function very well resulting in very little interest from my little one. This set changed all that! The instructions were very easy to understand and made this easy to put together. The two trains that come with this seem like your ordinary standard Percy and Thomas ..... NOPE ! These two trains talk to one another and make several of their own sounds during operation! They even have lights at the front of their engines so you can see them coming down the tunnel! It’s amazing and very ingenious. (You can also use other track master trains and tracks with this set) My little guy can’t get enough of playing with this set, and that’s what makes it all worth the $40! If your little one loves Thomas, this is the BEST set I’ve seen so far for this series , get it now and you won’t be disappointed. ... show more

I really wanted to love this train set. Unfortunately, this not a five stars for me, because both trains go off the track pretty much on every go around. Secondly, the handling of the track is definitely for more than one child. We have two other Thomas the Train sets as well. So I was expecting for this to be a slam dunk. This track it complicated even for two adults imo. The goal is to have both trains running in opposite directions at the same time and having the timing down is a science for two adults. So to think two or one child can manage is a tough one to swallow. Having said that, we still kept it bc it's still really really cool and very new in the fact that both trains talk to one another. ... show more

This may be the most successful gift I have ever given someone. My 3 year old nephew is obsessed with his new Thomas train set . Give this as a gift if you want to be a hero! The only warning I offer is that this toy may indeed be addictive—it is the only thing he wants to play with morning til night! Great product, well made, tons of fun. ... show more
