I have been eyeing up a literature sorter for ages so I can have my students turn in their papers in alphabetical order. But they are sooooo expensive and I can’t let myself spend that much money. Then I saw this and decided to give it a try. It works great! Very sturdy and stable and fits letter sized papers easily. Did I mention that I love it?! It really does exactly what I want it to do and looks so pretty! I don’t need to, but I placed mine inside a milk crate and have it really spread open so the students can very easily find their assigned number slot. The kids I taught last year and also teach this year again have given me compliments on the new “paper turn in bin” and say it’s way better than last year’s bin (I had a small literature sorter that left me sorting everything myself, basically). I'd purchased one of these accordian files made by ThinkTex and when I needed another, I just bought whatever came up in my search - which was a different manufacturer. Well, that was a mistake. The 'other' brand felt much more flimsy and worse, it kept tipping face first onto my desktop. I tried taping it open, then taped it in the back to a piece of cardboard, then finally I had to tape the entire thing to a piece of cardboard, using black, heavy duty tape - not a very professional look for the office. So I bought this ThinkTex one to replace the cheapy version which, btw, was not cheaper in price - only in quality. The ThinkTex file stands on it's own, either fully extended or partially. You can flip through the tabs looking a filed papers and it doesn't tip, doesn't collapse. Plus it just looks nicer - the black front panel, with the color tabs peaking up behind look nice...the other brand looked cheap & tended to yaw open, especially when taped to its cardboard stand. And, of course, because I don't have the TT brand taped onto a makeshift stand, I can move it to my desk and back without tippage and other problems. This product is just fine as far as file folders go. There are a TON of pockets so that’s nice. Plenty of stickers/labels. However, but it’s flimsy, you can’t just pick it up from the handles since it doesn’t have a solid bottom or solid sides.

Bought this to fit in the bottom drawer file cabinet of my teacher desk. However, it was too wide to fit. I had to turn it sideways to use it. Still works, just can’t expand it as far as I could have if it would have fit.

File folder is perfect for what we need. We are able to save documents by last name or month. The file expands and fits nicely into file cabinet drawer and if needed, we can easily move the file folder for use at other stations. We will order this product again.

    • Great for filing. Won’t stand up on its own

I have 4 of these. I love the colorful dividers. I love that this is expandable. I love that it does not have a cover. I love that this has a white/clear frame to it instead of a black one. I have way too many files and these hold and separate paperwork beautifully. I can see what I need at a glance and my files are not falling all over the place. My one peeve is that it does not stand up on its own. So I had to take ribbon and wrap it around the product so it would stand up and stay put. I taped the ribbon to the front and the back sides. It’s a bit pricey for me, but I can’t find a rainbow file divider that doesn’t have a top flap on it, that has a white frame, so I grabbed this product. It makes my office filing life hugely easier so putting a ribbon around it to hold it up is no big deal to me. Most companies make accordiannfile boxes with a black frame to it which makes it hard to see. Very happy that this has a white frame and white front to it. This product saves me a LOT of office time. 4 out of 5 stars ... show more
