The first one I received had two bent corners and was missing a hinge pin. Notified Amazon and they were right on top of shipping out a replacement. We re-did our bathroom and installed a new tub. There wasn't any access door and the plumber needed one so this is the route we went. Nice quality, metal door. It looks like it has a locking feature, but it doesn't. A screwdriver will open it. I prefer it that way, just one less key to lose. Easy to install. Just do your measurements. I cut slots into the studs so the reinforcement iron could slide right into the slots. Used adhesive chaulking, laid down a nice line on the perimeter and in the slots. Set the door in place, put some pressure against it and waited for it to set.

I am not far enough along with my new bathroom construction project to show this door installed, but it will be installed in the back of an adjacent closet, providing access to the plumbing for the new bathroom's shower. The door is well made and should install easily once everything is framed out.

I chose this access panel to use on the ceiling of our home's garage. I installed it between the studs and now I have full access to our surveillance system. It's tucked away safe and can only be reached by ladder. Simply unlatch the door with a screwdriver, drop the door down, and you now have a large access hole to do whatever you need to. When closed, it matches the ceiling and is very aesthetically pleasing. The construction is durable, as well, so I'm sure to get a lifetime of use from it. Highly recommended, especially for Amazon's low listed selling price.

My old house is getting redone bit by bit, and once it is time to get to the bathroom, I decided that, to make sure the plumbing could be accessed from behind the tub/shower's faucet without tearing into a sheetrocked wall, as my sister had to do some years back to repair her shower fittings! This metal access panel is a good size, sturdily made, nicely finished in white, and are easily opened with just the tip of a flat headed screwdriver. It is a good enough size at around 2 feet square that it can also be used to access other parts of one's house, like the attic. Not a cheap piece, but it should offer easy access for years to come, and if I need to, I can even paint it to match the wall color! SO glad I got this!

I probably went a little large getting this, but wanted to have plenty of access to our shower plumbing. It is behind a closet, but looks sleek enough, it could be on a regular wall, and be aesthetically pleasing. @ $69 for the 2’ x 2’ access, the price point is right on the spot. Nice and durable material.

because you do not want an ugly, unsightly access panel staring back at you... while you strive for peace of mind... sure, it is an access panel and it doesn't look normal in most cases... so you can cover it with a painting or with a mirror or something that is more appealing... otherwise, if you use THIS panel door somewhere that you are not looking at it... it is clean and simple to not look ugly... the panel, itself... is sturdy and appears to be long-lasting... could stand up to a few bangs and dings...
