When I tell you i love this thing it's not exaggerated. I've tried the boxes with keys but my teens will go on a scavenger hunt until they find the key to change thermostat. This code lock box has been a game changer. It paid for itself the first month as I was able to set my temp and make sure it doesn't get changed. And no having to keep up with keys just a simple 3 digit code to lock or unlock. You do get to choose your own code amd changing the code is very simple. Plastic is thick amd good quality at a fair price point. I was worries as we have a vertical thermostat, but it worked just fine.
