I thought this plate was awesome. The description clearly says fits early generation nests, which are not similar to the newer ones coming out. However if you have a power drill it is easy to mark holes and install it yourself. It looks great with my nest and it looks like a great piece on my wall!

I just bought a new nest for my basement, model #G4CVZ (ASIN number B08HRPDYTP on Amazon if you want to search for it). This wall plate does not fit. I got it to work OK but the pre-drilled holes are way too far apart for this model. You can only catch one screw on it. Had to drill a separate hole above one of the others to screw both ends in to mount it. This could have been totally avoided if they just made the drill holes a little more oblong to accommodate the shorter nest to at least get it centered. It also does not mount to the wall in any way on it's own. The screws from the Nest is all that holds it up to the wall. Plus side, it came with a nice little screwdriver but didn't come with screws or instructions whatsoever. Just the plaque and a screwdriver in a skimpy white box. The plate itself looks nice and is of nice quality but it does not work with this model out of the box. You will need to make some adjustments. Even then, it won't line up perfectly. If this was for a more 'normal/finished' area of my home I would have returned it but since it's the unfinished basement, it'll do fine. ... show more

This item was for my Father In-law. I looked up the thermostat on Amazon and it stated this was the correct back piece. But it not line up with the thermostat's screws. Even though it stated it was recommended for it.
