We use these daily in our elementary schooler’s lunch. She is particularly rough on things and these have held up for over a year. I ordered three more so they could soak if needed. Two SMALL imperfections (with solutions): 1. The plastic spoon that come with isn’t the best. That was easy to fix by purchasing foldable metal utensils. 2. Our daughter sometimes complained that the food wasn’t HOT (she eats lunch 7 hours after the food gets packed up). We fixed this by filling it with boiled water and letting it sit before filling it up. My husband fills it before he leaves for work. I have an extremely picky eater. Our go-to school lunch is peanut butter and honey sandwiches. Last year I tried wrapping nuggets and fries in foil to some degree of success. But I'd seen several sites extolling the virtues of this style of thermos for nuggets. Finally decided to cave and drop the dough on it. I got this one because it was only slightly more expensive than the solid-color thermos containers, only a little bit more expensive than the other-branded containers, and a good bit less expensive than the other licensed thermos containers. Used as instructed on the sites I'd looked at: - insert boiling water for a few minutes - dry - insert dry paper towel to absorb moisture - insert hot nuggets My son reports that they were just the right temperature and not-soggy! Success! And since I could find no info on this anywhere, I wanted to report here: this container holds about 6 tyson nuggets. I doubt I could cram in a seventh, but perhaps if I stacked them just right. ... show more

I purchased one for both of my kids, and they do the job! They are 100% leak proof and kept food warm for 5 hours, as advertised. It works best if you warm up the thermoses with hot water before adding food, like suggested. I noticed that the food stays warm longer if it has liquid in with it. For example, soup was much warmer after the 5 hour wait than the chicken nuggets were. But the chicken nuggets were warm enough! The thermoses were well worth the money. ... show more

My toddler wouldn’t eat lunch at school when I packed food other than a pb&j. I couldn’t figure it out, especially when he loved what I packed and ate it at home. I realized it was because it was hot! So once I got this he was back to eating 90-100% of his lunches at school.

I bought this for my toddler to use at daycare for his lunch , I boil water first let it sit in the thermos and then add the food . I pack it around 7am and he eats at noon . Food stays warm until lunch time

I bought two of these for my girls and they absolutely love them! They love having homemade soups or just spaghetti o's for lunch and these keep the food nice and hot and are the perfect portion size. I heat the food up in the morning at about 6am and they don't have lunch at school until between 11 and noon and their food is always still at the perfect temperature. They love the attached spoons in the lids and often use them in their lunches for other items like yogurts or puddings. Great quality, just as pictured. I'd say the spoon would be suited for older kiddos because of the way it folds, younger kids may try to pull it open instead of sliding it, and break it.
