Accurate??? Not accurate enough. I previously had one of these in different locations at home inside (left was in garage). I got a new home thermostat for the furnace and wanted to compare it to these so-called accurate thermometers out of curiosity. These two have been sitting next to each other for over an hour and they are 1.2 degrees different as you can see. So which is accurate? I placed a so-called guaranteed accurate calibrated thermometer I previously bought on Amazon, along side just to test things (SP Bel-Art, H-B DURAC Plus Pocket Liquid-In-Glass Laboratory Thermometer (B60770-1500)). The glass calibrated thermometer says 66 degrees (see photo). If this is calibrated and accurate, this mean the digital thermometer on the right is more accurate. In summary I dont have a lot of faith in the claims these ThermPros are truly accurate. However the description on Amazon does state they are accurate to 1 degree F, so it it close to the margin of error. So you can decide for yourself regarding their accuracy. ... show more

THE DISPLAY HAS HUGE NUMBERS! Need I tell you how easy is it to read it from across the room? Because if you never struggled with small digits you won't appreciate it but if you had I need not to spell it. Yes, this puppy is amazing. Inch tall or so digits tells you what you need to know without beating about the bushes. THE TOUCH SCREEN Yes, I don't know how many devices of this size have touch screen but even if they do, they lack other features as I must have spent few days searching for a perfect device and this is it! I love how you can touch the screen to change it from F to C and back as you please and the light comes on if you need making the screen gorgeous blue like ocean or the early evening sky.. LIGHT ON /OF TOUCH .. gorgeous blue LED screen ! Yes, all you need is one touch and you can easily find it as it is in the middle of the bottom of the screen and no guess work here. Touch i and the gorgeous blue light as in picture comes up. I really love the fact that they did not lie in the product picture. Do you know how many times we all see product promising nice LED light to the screen and then it comes and it is phew.. meh.. NO, this baby is really what it looks in the picture. Lights come up for few moments for you to see better and then it auto turns off. EASY MOUNT NO tools with a little extra effort on your side. They provide you with mounting but I found easy workaround to put it on any wall without hurting the paint or need for tools. I bought double sided clear tape.. while ANY double sided tape will do and I have no benefit of sharing this I still do because I just love this tape for little jobs when I need to stick a picture to the wall. You can move it about and no trace. IT does not go off with the paint. Cut one small piece or more and strategically put on the back of this thermometer and stick it to the wall and voila! no tools: I have bought few of those thermometer/hygrometer units so to me it made sense but mind that you can use left over for hanging pictures so it pays off for itself, also any such tape will do, they have them also in your local HDepot and BBBeyond. any brand any kind that is double sided and can keep a weight. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YB1ZXG6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I USE IT AS A QUICL LIGHT IN THE WALKNG CLOSET! It is just perfect for this! The light comes off in few seconds so no huge use and the three batteries inside seem to lasting. READING IS GOOD AND RELIABLE I am somewhat obsessed with the accuracy of things I buy and so this had to be compared with other devices of other sort to see if it is accurate because what good if it would not be right? So out of few in total that I have ALL of them consistently show accurate temperature and humidity levels . EASY ONE TOUCH switch from C to F and back. TOUCH SCREEN ROCKS! So super easy, the C to F button is on the touch screen in the corner and you can know in the dark where it is if you need it but also you can touch the light and have light up and then you can see even better.. one touch switches to F.. another back to C and so on.. perfect for your European Guests or if you are fluent with both systems. HIGH and LOW is always visible so you can see what was the last high and the last low reading which is helpful if you need to know. Price is reasonable, Quality is superb, Size is perfect, LED Touch screen makes it insanely fabulous, The blue light of the screen makes it dreamy. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS UNIT! Seek no further. I don't know about accuracy other than comparing them to each other, and mine do read differently after sitting next to each other for an hour or more. I can read them from a distance most of the time except when the room light is dim. That may be more me than it, but just offering the information. Turning the light on helps, but by the time I'm that close I usually can read it. Since I can't remember whether I've changed the battery or not, I conclude it has a pretty long battery life. ... show more

I've had a hard time monitoring and adjusting temperatures in various places in the house due to the inaccuracy and inconsistency of most thermometers. This one, and others from the same company, seem to actually meet their +/- 1 degree F specification.
