  • Horrible customer service!
Size: ARGB Gold Style: 850W
Power supply gave loud pop and died 32 days after purchase, so I could not return it to Amazon and had to deal with Thermaltake’s RMA service. I setup an advanced replacing online, my credit card was charged as expected, and a replacement was shipped out right away. This part went well. I received the replacement several days later and shipped out the defective power supply to Thermaltake right away. I have verified with USPS through the tracking information that Thermaltake has received the defective power supply. Thermaltake has now had the defective power supply for over a week and has not credited my credit card. The RMA status still shows Awaiting Defective Unit. I called Thermaltake to speak to a RMA rep, but after 2 minutes being in queue for a rep, a recording comes on and states that all reps are busy and to leave a message after the beep to be called back. I have left multiple messages on multiple days and have still not been called back. It appears there is no way to actually get a hold of a live person at Thermaltake and that they are perfectly happy keeping your money and not living up to their 10 year warranty. I will never buy another Thermaltake product and will advise everyone I know to stay clear of Thermaltake! ... show more

  • If you like wasting time and having money tied up this is the PSU for you
Size: RGB Bronze Style: 750W
If I could give this negative stars I would. I have bought 2 of these PSUs and they have both been faulty on delivery. I can't even describe my level of frustration with trying to get a new rig to work. As soon as I put in my old 6+ year old PSU into the system it worked flawlessly. Stay as far away as you possibly can from this product. ... show more

  • Brand New Computer Fried
Size: ARGB Gold Style: 750W
Just finished building a new computer and wanted a power supply that would have LED controlled by the MB. Got this installed, flipped the switch and heard a click like a relay and nothing happened. Pulled everything apart, checked all my connections which were fine and tried it again. This time I got a click and a snap noise. I suspected the PS was no good, so re-installed my old one. The power light on the board came on, flashed a couple times, got real dim then went out. Nothing started up, not even the fans or water pump or a single light. Tried 2 other PS units I had, same thing. Tried them all ( except for the new PS ) in my older computer and everything powered up fine. I pulled everything down and tested everything individually on my bench, turns out the board and processor are now junk, as well as my new vid card. Motherboard- MSI MEG Z490 ACE Processor- Intel i9-10900F Video- EVGA RTX 2080 I sent a letter To Thermaltake, told to return to Amazon which I did, but also told I had to contact the other manufacturers about replaceing the components that THEIR power supply fried. So far I'm out about $2k and don't see them replacing components damaged by another vendors unit. Use caution buying from here, the warranty seems to change when purchased from Amazon or Ebay. ... show more

  • May work for you but failed on me
Size: ARGB Platinum Style: 1050W
System Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5600x GPU: ASUS TUF 3090 OC AIO: CoolerMaster 360 Mirror RAM: Gskill Trident Z 2x16 SSD: Samsung 970 EVO NVME 1TB I turned off my system to install a new fan that came in. Connected it to my fan hub. Powered the PSU back on and hit the power button. Instantly heard the fizzle of death. Panicked for a good 30 minutes troubleshooting. Took an old 600w PSU(very temporary) and thankfully no components were fried so the built in protection on the PSU at least did the job so kudos there. Have only had for about a month and thankfully it is still within the return window to where I can easily replace this unit with a completely different brand. In retrospect I probably just got a dud and I am sure the overwhelming majority of these PSUs are fine but it has just left a sour taste in my mouth and just no longer trust this particular model. ... show more

  • Didn't really need RGB but it's nice to have
Size: RGB Bronze Style: 750W
I've tried putting this power supply into different cases however the RGB isn't presenting itself as I would have hoped I always figured that the RGB would shine off the desk as an underglow which isn't the most efficient. but it still does its task, and perhaps my applications may not have properly projected this product at its finest moments. But if viewed from the back looks pretty good but like I said maybe my case isn't set up to take advantage of the power supply being RGB. ... show more

  • Really like it, but...
Size: ARGB Platinum Style: 850W
Howdy Folks! I ordered this for my new rig build because for the money a Platinum psu with these options is hard to find. Nice rgb (if your into them) and quiet. However the supplied cables are cheap and hard to make the 180 degree bends needed for installation. Not to mention UGLY! Thermaltake does not offer a complete set, just extensions. So I called them and they stated basically that it was too much pain to make a full set. Oh and if you get an aftermarket set you'll void the warranty. I also ask for the pin assignment schematic which turns out to be propitiatory. I told him the extensions would not work for me because my new Thermaltake core p3 has an exposed psu and you'd still be able to see their UGLY cables at the psu. Hope this helps, Ward's World ... show more
