I bought this pair as an 'experiment' a 'test'. This pair passed my 'test' and exceeded my expectations. Not by much... but passed. My Primary Concern was how well they would fit, given the fact that we were trying to fit my odd body. With minor adjustments, they fit just fine... very comfortable. And so I went skiing. I found the product to be very comfortable for all day wear. I have not tested in "Extreme cold" but they were perfect for days that started out at 32 degrees and improved to 50 degrees. In other words I didn't over heat at 50 and wasn't cold at 32. I don't think I'd wear them in below freezing weather for very long. ... show more

When I first put these on, I was a little put back by the amount of stretch these thermal long pants have. They sort of spring onto you -- even further up your socks than I would like and had to push them back down. That said, they are VERY comfortable once on and seem to provide an extra layer of warmth as intended.
