I just got this sleeping bag today. Here are my initial thoughts. Pros: 1. Super light 2. Long, perfect for my height. 3. Super warm. I tried it out in my bedroom and I was starting to sweat after just a few minutes. 4. Packable. Cons: 1. Can't fit my arms into the bag, and zip it up because its not wide enough. I'm a big a tall guy. I have wide shoulders, whether or not if I am skinny of fat. 2. Cost: Why do packable sleeping bags cost so much money (at least for me.) Overall it's the best one for the price...so far. There are other big and tall sleeping bags, however they are not packable, and weigh a ton. I'm not an ultralight weenie by any stretch (I'm too big and tall for ultralight gear anyway.) I am working on shaving some weight off, though. I don't want to be lugging a 100 lbs. backpack on the trail. Hiking and backpacking companies, make products that fit someone who's 5'5-5'8" and weigh a 150 lbs. Big and tall men also like to hike and backpack. We all can't be emaciated vegans. Anywho, this sleeping bag might work for me, though I'll have to leave my arms out when I sleep in it. Therma-rest seems to be catching on, though they still have some work to do. If you all want overweight people to get out and move, maybe you should make products that fit them properly. ... show more

I have Raynauds and my feet get super cold at night when I'm backpacking. This bag is the most incredible combo of warm and lightweight. And it never feels... damp like some quilts and bags I've used. Highly recommend.

I have been really impressed with this sleeping bag. It's just spacious enough for me to be able to bend my legs separately, which is very important for the way I am most comfortable sleeping. It's also super warm; I've used it as cold as the upper 20s F and was still too warm when all zipped up. It also doesn't twist around on me during the night, because it has the straps that hold it in place on my mattress. The material is silky and soft against my skin. I don't dread being awake half of the night now when camping, as I sleep almost as well in this as in my own bed. ... show more

I tested this in the White Cloud Mountains at 9,500 feet in late May. The over night temperatures got down below 20F. I slept on this with a Big Agnes mattress and was warm all night long. I even unzipped a the bag for a while when I 1st when to bed. The straps on the bag prevented the air mattress from slipping out from under the bag when I rolled around.
