For years, my wife and I used a thin comforter for our bed, and we finally broke down and bought something a bit more *luxurious* for our master king bed. The amount of research we did was incredible. We finally settled on this Duvet Insert and we were NOT disappointed. It offers the perfect fluffiness and warmth without being too incredibly hot. Everyone's body temp will be different and no duvet insert will work for 100% of people. With that said, I feel like this insert will work for atleast 75% of people, and I say that because my wife sleep cool and I sleep on the warm side, and this insert works for both of us. Add to the fact that it has corner ties, and you have a real winner. Pro's: 1) Perfect temperature (I feel this is probably 90% of the review in and of itself) 2) Perfect amount of fill. Not too thin, and not too overly thick. 3) We end up with a good 6-8" of extra material on each side so those with tall bed's should be OK. 4) Both of our cat's love it! Con's: 1) This insert isn't the cheapest and is a bit more expensive then some others found on Amazon. Overall ~ I think you get what you pay for in this area. The insert is awesome and works well. We plan to use this insert year round .... Should that change, or should we get too warm, I will update this review. Overall, we are giving this 5 stars without a doubt at this point. So I’m pretty much lazy AF. When I’m not working, I’m SLEEPING. So a comfy bed is a MUST! And let me tell you, as a “professional” sleepaholic this definitely made my bed sooo much better. **pro tip: have satin sheets, 8 pillows, THIS DUVET, a down (alternative) comforter topped with lots of blankets and fan... hooooneyyy you’ll run out of PTO in no time!

I'm obsessed! Easy to wash in my front load washer and dryer. No loose strings, seems really well made. I don't foresee the filling bunching up in the segments, will update if it starts to do so. I'm just so impressed with how soft and fluffy it is. I've had several duvets and nothing as puffy as this - see the pic right out of the dryer. I will say because it's so fluffy it feels less heavy. Hasn't been a big problem for me, but this isn't a 20# blanket... I have a queen bed, and bought the regular queen size instead of the oversized one. I debated on this a while because I love extra sheets and sleep with my partner. I'm glad I bought the regular queen size- still seems oversized and it hasn't been a problem sharing. I think the oversized would have felt and looked ridiculous. It might be a little warmer than my old one... But that's kind of the point of comforters... Anyways, would recommend!

This blanket was nice, soft, and warm, but fell apart in the washer after the first wash. I am very disappointed! I washed it according to directions on the delicate cycle.

This is my first non down comforter since I can remember. I have recently started to avoid animal products and started here. This is amazing. I was so pleased with the weight of it. It is super warm and doesn't make any noise. I have read reviews of others and said it made noises. It's fluffy enough. My previous down blankets were not that fluffy, or over time, de-fluffed. My only reason for the 4 stars is for the size. I ordered a king, and it fits my queen bed perfectly. With about a foot hang over on each side. Is too small for my king duvet cover.

I like to sleep in comfort. To that end, I started by buying a thick pillowtop mattress. I also got a heated mattress pad. (Do you suffer from cold feet that take forever to get warm in bed? Go get a heated mattress pad. Now. You'll wonder how you ever slept well without it.) I get nice fluffy but supportive pillows. I found amazing sheets (for a pretty penny) that make you feel like you're sliding into some commercial for a milk and honey based product. The only thing disturbing my comfort was my comforter. It was old and the once fluffy filling had compacted. Now that it's getting colder, I was piling on extra blankets to stay warm and cranking up the mattress pad, which meant I was trapped under 100 lbs of bedding that made it difficult to roll over and impossible to cool down once you got overheated. Enter this comforter. Duvet? Remember that milk and honey commercial? Now there's clouds. Perfectly plump and fluffy and warm. So warm I haven't had to turn my mattress heater up past 2, and I've been keeping the house around 55-60 at night. Now you may be thinking, that sounds too warm, you'll still overheat! Yes it can get too warm, but the delight of having a light and airy comforter like this is there is no effort to shift a foot so it's sticking off the bed slightly and immediately regulating your temperature back down. Anecdotal evidence of fluffy comfort is great and all, but I'm also a big fan of logical data. I happen to have a fitbit that tracks my sleep patterns. Previously, I've been lucky to get an hour of deep sleep a night. Just barely at the bottom range of the benchmark values for good sleep. Since using this comforter, I've seen between a 50% to 100% increase in the amount of deep sleep I've been getting. My girls also give this comforter the stamp of approval. If I forget to close my door during the day, one will sneak in to bed early even! Check out that picture with them laying on it. Do you see how deep they sink in? That's the fluff. 10/10 fluffiness!
