Imprescindible si te gustan los RPG’s con buena historia y secundarias
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5
... show more

Turn based fun
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5
I love the art style and combat. The setting is fantastic. The top down and then switching to ff style turn based is great. It just feels good. Not far but very happy already.

Worth Your While, With a Few Caveats
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5
For the most part, I enjoyed my time in 1905 Warsaw, role-playing a Thaumaturge returning home after 15 years in exile. The atmosphere is immersive, and the convoluted plot threads and characters kept me guessing as to how events would unfold. Usually I felt I had sufficient agency in decision-making, and often the choices were not easy. That is one primary reason I chose this game: I like ambiguity and having to live with the consequences of one's choices, sometimes which are unforeseeable. Just like in real life. The game hints at the global conflagration of World War I, which got me thinking my decisions were REALLY going to matter, but ultimately it never gets close in terms of time. Perhaps in a sequel? I finished the game in 27 hours, completing most of the quest lines. It was a bit underwhelming that many of the quests culminated in just visiting a particular location at the right time of day. The completed sketches are quaint, but I would have enjoyed a more robust/immersive experience, there was so much interesting art/music/science emerging around that time. I did most of the boss fights and captured most of the salutors, although one I never encountered, and another I tried many times but could see no way to defeat it. So I left it unfinished, and the Fisherman continues to terrorize Powisle...I think I needed to defeat the one in order to locate/track the other. My two main quibbles: combat and combat music. I was surprised that combat never evolved much beyond the basic turn-based system introduced in the beginning. Enemies are virtually indistinguishable in many respects, and I rarely had to deviate from my standard tactics. Break focus, then ult. Use the proper salutor to disable Traits. When I experimented a bit, the outcome was essentially the same. It basically seemed like it didn't matter much what I did. Interestingly, most encounters are non-fatal to those you defeat, but if you are defeated, you are dead and the game is over (fortunately there are frequent auto-saves, so you don't lose much progress). It might have been interesting to have more choice as to whether to "knock out" or "kill" combatants, with subsequent plot consequences depending what you decide. The combat music is repetitive and distracting. After a while I found it so grating I just turned it way down or off. You encounter various period music and pieces during your journey, but they get very little playing time. I was really hoping for more authentic Slavic music and instruments -- it's an engaging but untapped musical gold mine. Think Deep Forest's second album "Boheme," or even just "Epic Slavic Music: Slavic Queen." I know those aren't exactly "authentic," but surely that sort of thing would have made the game more immersive than the combat track. I really wanted to have a good relationship with sister Ligia, but somehow I wasn't able to choose correctly in a way the game designers would recognize. Even the one "trial" that allows you to re-visit and evaluate your previous choices didn't allow me sufficient course correction. And yet even though I wasn't hugely enthusiastic about my "friendship" with Abaurycy, somehow we were like BFFs as the ending approached. I am a bit curious how the game would play out if I made a lot of different choices, but not quite so much so that I would play it again. Still, for those who care about replay value, I would expect this is sufficiently well-coded to allow for some very different endings with alternative decisions. The game hints at a sequel, so with some attention to the issues raised here, I could see myself stepping into Wiktor's shoes once again... ... show more

This is a 5 star Indie Game
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5
Like my title says, who would have thought that a game set in a magical Warsaw with dower, unlikable spirit magicians who collect monsters like a weird Poke Mon exorcist would be created, let alone be good. And yet, that’s exactly what happened. Seriously, this story idea is bonkers, yet it work really well. This game is at its best when it focuses on Warsaw in all its dark angst and sometimes surprising warmth and humanity. It’s at its worst when the smaller studio budget reveals wonky and inconsistent voice overs from supporting characters who may be American, Polish, or some strange mix. That was jarring to me. Of course, I am being picky and these few rough moments don’t ruin what is otherwise a fun game with some really cool and new ideas that still remain familiar enough to not make this totally weird. Perhaps its few flaws, including a somewhat repetitive turn based fighting system, stick out more because the rest of the game is so wonderfully emo. The studio clearly has a love for its own history, being a Polish company, and aren’t afraid to think outside the box and take a chance. Sherlock with mind tricks in a mystical and politically complicated Warsaw. Have fun! 5 stars from an indie studio. 4 stars compared to successful AAA games like the Witcher. ... show more
