A cerebral masterpiece
Format: Kindle
I can't say enough great things about this series. It's deep and thoughtful throughout. Not the usual character-gets-Uber-powers-and-fights-a-boss battle-every-episode. More of a test of outsmarting and outthinking one's opponent, skillfully spread across a complex story arc that explores the challenges many chess-moves ahead. The endearing characters and high stakes means that every move counts, and even a single failure is fatal. It's hard to put this story down. ... show more

I love the series and it came in perfect condition. But, weird writing was on the back of the cover? Not sure what it was and I might’ve gotten a used copy but it was definitely weird. Doesn’t bother me though.
