I ordered these because I like to drink hot drinks in a larger mug as well as soup. I have arthritis and those little mugs are just too hard to hold securely. I wasn't in love with the pattern but these looked sturdy and yes they are! I recommend washing them in the dishwasher as soon as you get them since the packaging sticks to the inside. I have been using them every day and I love the easy to grip handle that keeps your knuckles away from the hot body of the cup. It's well designed. Love this large mug for my coffee in the morning. Holds a good couple cups of coffee. The handles on the mugs are much thicker and stronger than the picture shows on here. Very well made and beautiful design.

I use a big coffee cup because I fill about 1/3 milk and the rest coffee. These are plenty big. The cup I had for years got dropped and these are to replace that one. The pictures are accurate, they are pretty, sturdy, and easy to hold.
