I really didn't want to like this cream because many "organic" creams are just glorified emulsions of oils and extracts that don't do much for my skin. Lush's "Gorgeous" cream is a prime example; great ingredients but didn't really do much and the texture was nothing to write home about. This Rose cream is best-seller for a reason. The texture is not really a thick "cream" at all -- in fact, it's thin enough to be a light milky serum, and dries down to a matte finish. The composition is unique -- I find that it's more efficacious than other "organic" creams *precisely* because of the alcohol which acts as a carrier and solvent to deliver the "goods" more deeply into the skin. Moreover, i'm not left with a thin oil residual like so many of my other holistic creams. Does it miraculously make wrinkles disappear or other "wow" effects? no. But does any cream really do that? they're just topical moisturizers. The powerhouses are really in serums, if you want to put your money where its at. But if your'e looking for a good moisturizer with good ingredients and is a fragrant pleasure to apply (which will make you apply it more and more, reinforcing the ritual), then this is a great choice.
