Yes, it is designed for most skin tones and types. However, if you have sensitive skin or a compromised barrier, you should not use this product. Can I use this product if I have sensitive skin? No, we do not recommend using this product if you have sensitive skin. Do I need sunscreen after using it? We highly recommend applying an SPF after using this peeling solution to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. I purchased this on a whim because I enjoy a lot of the other Ordinary products. I am not disappointed. The instructions say to use it twice a week and I've had it for about a month now. I can definitely tell a difference in the look and feel of my skin. My friends tease me that I'm "translucent" but I'd argue that I simply have fair skin. I do have sunspots and being 47, I'm determined to at least reduce their appearance. After just a couple of weeks I noticed that my skin is a lot softer and brighter. It usually takes quite a while to see results but I'm floored at this product! I have high hopes that with continued use my skin will continue to improve because of how effective this product is. While the instructions aren't 100% obvious about how much product to use, I fill the dropper and draw lines with it on my forehead, cheeks, and chin area. I then lightly smear it around but I don't rub it in and I make sure that I can still see a layer of the product. Once in a while I do feel a tingling/burning sensation and it only lasts for a moment and it's usually because I've done some hair removal a day or two prior to using it. Overall, application is a breeze and it washes off very nicely. I even once used my white wash cloth and the color came out in the wash! The bottle size looks small but a little of the product goes a long way. After a little over a month of use I'm probably not quite 1/4 through the bottle. For something that is $10, that's a steal! It's definitely worth more than what it costs. If you're on the fence about this product - don't be. BUY IT. I've already gone ahead and purchased another bottle so I have it on hand. ... show more

I'm 25 with combination, acne prone skin, and very sensitive. I have some fine lines on my forehead and around my eyes, (though I don't use it there) large pores and milia on the sides of my face. This stuff has helped with everything! After using it, my pores look so much cleaner and my skin looks and feels so smooth. My milia, which I haven't been able to get rid of in about a year, is almost completely gone, and the fine lines on my forehead seem much less visable. I'm not sure if this directly helps with fine lines, but it may have just improved the texture overall, so they aren't as noticeable. I was suffering from cystic acne on my chin and haven't had any harsh breakouts since I've been using this. I still get small breakouts occasionally, but its definitely improved from what it was. Before I purchased this, I watched a few review videos on youtube, and decided to buy it. In one of the videos, a girl mentioned that you probably don't need to apply too much, so I decided to take her advice and only apply a thin layer. Like her, I didn't see any crazy, immediate results, but it did make my skin a bit softer and my pores appeared a little smaller. The burning sensation was pretty bad for the first 2-3 minutes, but not intolerable, so I decided to power through it. (In no way am I recommending this. Everyones skin is different) After a few minutes, it stopped burning completely, so I was able to leave it on for the full 10 minutes. I have pretty sensitive skin, and the burning felt like it does on my scalp when I've bleached my hair in the past. The second time I used it, I applied a lot more to where it looked almost like the color it does in the bottle. The irritation was still a little harsh, but not as bad as the first time. I assume it was because my skin was already a little used to it. This time I saw much better results immediately! After this, I decided to start using a thick layer each time and the results have been amazing! Now that I'm realizing how much product I'm using, I'm taking it back a little and applying a thin layer again and still seeing great results. I'm glad I watched videos and took the approach I did, because it allowed me to test it out to see how much my skin can handle and get used to it. Now, it doesn't burn too much, its more of just an itchy, tingling sensation, but I wouldn't recommend using it when your skin is very dry, cracked, or broken. If you do have dry skin, apply it immediately after you've rinsed your face so there's still a little moisture and avoid any areas where your skin is broken. I only use it once a week, and although it says it should be used as a replacement of an exfoliant, I use a regular scrub at the end of the week, because my skin can get a little flaky, and I figure its safe enough if I'm only using the peel once a week instead of twice. ... show more

I’ve been using this peel for a while now, and every single time I use it, I’m impressed with the results. The first application can definitely be intimidating—it tingles quite a bit and almost feels like your skin is burning (within the normal range for a strong acid peel), and when you rinse it off, your face will probably be red for a little while. Don’t let that scare you! The redness fades, and you’re left with incredibly smooth, fresh, glowing skin. My face always feels baby soft afterward, and over time I’ve noticed my complexion looks brighter and more youthful. It really feels like getting a mini professional facial at home for a fraction of the price. Just be sure to follow the directions—this is powerful stuff and definitely isn’t meant for daily use. Once a week (or as your skin tolerates) is plenty. One important tip: be extremely careful to keep it away from your eyes and mouth because it stings badly if it gets there. This exfoliating peel works better than any facial scrub I’ve used before. It leaves my skin feeling noticeably smoother and more refreshed without needing any physical scrubbing. That said, it is a pretty strong exfoliant and can be irritating if you have sensitive skin, so I’d recommend being cautious if your skin is prone to sensitivity. Definitely don’t use it when your skin is already irritated, dry, or feeling particularly sensitive, as it may make the irritation worse. Here's my routine; CeraVe moisturizing face wash (the green stuff), the ordinary aha and bha toner (the blood red stuff watered down in a spray bottle, about 6 droppers full to 4oz water, spritzed on and left to dry. No rinsing), Corsx snail mucin serum, Good Molecules peptide serum, good molecules gentle retinal, and Belif aqua bomb Cica cream. And im telling you, I get a rashy acne patch on both sides of my nose/mouth area every summer and this year, after starting this routine, my skin has been so clear! I still get breakouts, but the heal so fast with this stuff! My skin has been brighter too! No sensitive reactions. Like I said, I water this stuff down in a little spray bottle to use like a toner. I was going through this so fast to use multiple times a week since my skin just loves it. So it dawned on me they make this as a toner with other brands but this is the best deal. I use it every night on my face and arms and I haven't gone througha whole bottle of the concentrated stuff in over a month. Vs. I tried this on a desperate whim in hopes it would clear my rough skin texture and breakouts along my temple area before my wedding. After the first use I immediately noticed how soft my skin felt. I saw noticeable results on my acne within 2 weeks. A few months later and my skin is completely clear! I use twice a week.
