This sweater is really nice quality and feels great to wear. The inside lining is soft and smooth against the skin, which makes it comfortable even if you’re wearing it all day. I went with a size large, and the fit is just right, not too loose and not too tight. It has enough room to move comfortably without looking oversized. One thing I like is that it’s not overly thick, so it works well even in warmer weather. For example, I wore it in my office where it was around 77 degrees, and I didn’t feel uncomfortable or like I needed to take it off right away. It’s lightweight enough to be versatile while still providing that cozy sweatshirt feel. The simple design is another plus for me. I like the plain color with just the small logo since sometimes I prefer clothing that isn’t too loud or flashy. i normally wear a medium, but opted for the large, since this is a sweatshirt, so i wanted a bit of an oversized look, rather than form-fitting. the quality is beyond reproach, as you'd expect with a globally successful brand / industry leader --and at a 66$ otd price, for just a sweatshirt. i'm not a fan of clothing logos, particularly prominent ones, but that's part of the cost of acquiring this garment at a cost of less than ten bucks, through the amazon review program ("vine"). i would never buy it otherwise, because i just don't wear any clothing items that feature visible logos [i see no reason to give free advertising space on my own body, to any clothing company or designer brand. lol]. that being said, i WILL wear this sweatshirt, now that i own it. i can make an exception --but there will never be many. i continue to be truly amazed at people's penchant for being walking billboards for somebody else. i understand that in their eyes it connotes a kind of status or prestige, but that's just not how i think. i remember well when it started (in the 70's, with the [back then] newly minted phenomenon of designer jeans). and i still just see it as tacky. lol. ... show more

I'm an outdoorsy guy, and as much as I like to pretend that I don't care about brand names, I've always liked the idea of having some North Face logowear in my closet. This is a basic black sweatshirt, but it seemed like a low-risk way to make that happen. And it's... fine? I knew this wasn't going to be my first choice for overnight trips - cotton kills in the backcountry - but it seemed like it would be totally okay for day trips or just lounging, and it is. The cotton/poly blend is soft and really warm. The baggy style makes it easy to layer. But that's about it. There's not much else to it. Even the material quality seemed a little meh to me. It feels like the sort of black sweatshirt that will fade after a few rounds in the washing machine, which is fine if you like a vintage look, but maybe a little disappointing for something with a $60 price tag. Fancy logo aside, this feels identical to similar sweatshirts you'll find at your local department store for half the price - or less. If the brand name is worth that much to you, then it's hard to go wrong with a basic sweatshirt like this. ... show more

I love the north face items of clothing. I am a woman, but I ordered this man’s sweatshirt anyway for comfort and baggyness. It’s a very very thick sweatshirt so I will probably only wear this in the winter time or when it’s very cold. Amazing brand so I know this will hold up and is durable fabric. This is a really nice sweatshirt. Tightly woven, incredibly soft feel inside, solid elastic borders, a slightly relaxed neck collar area, great color, perfect seams, and generally everything you'd expect in terms of great quality and fashion from North Face. Compared to many of my other sweatshirts, this one is heavier. The size is perfect, so order with confidence. Basically, this is the perfect outwear for fall/winter football season, and I'm looking forward to wearing it to the games. Definitely recommended. ... show more

Very nice sweatshirt. I would call it medium weight. It did not bleed or fade in the wash. I did not dry it so I can write about shrinkage. I beleive that it is sized correctly.
