I decided to upgrade to the 400g version for more warmth. Luckily, I listened to those who said get a full size larger than normal. I wear a 10.5. Bought a 11.5, fits perfectly. And as others have said , they feel tight at first until you break them in. What you may also need is good quality merino wool boot socks, and a thin poly vapor barrier sock for maximum warmth and dryness. Boots look well made. I also have a two pair of Sorel's....heavier. These are just right for daily use and long walks. Amazon was great to deal with. They took my return at an Amazon Fresh store and issued my refund promptly. Their tracking updates and delivery times are accurate. Got it early. ... show more

Love these boots. Despite the reviews that recommended ordering 1-2 sizes larger, I found they fit true to size. I wear a size 9.5. The boots are extremely comfortable, feel sturdy, and have a great aesthetic to them. Good boots for the price - warm, light and waterproof. They have worked well in dirt, mud, creeks and light snow. They do tend to slide in heavier snow and uneven terrain. Both top heel pull loops tore-out the first time I used them, but the bottom loops have held.

The good is these boots are lightweight and comfortable as winter boots go,I felt they ran small across the top of my foot(I am a normal width)so if you wear thick socks or wear inserts you might want to go a half size up,I had to return mine.Other nice features were the heel ridge that helps keep snowshoes,crampons,and ice spike straps secure and the "D" ring at the lower laces for gatiers. The bad(possibly) as a past owner of North Face Boltero 400 boots that self destructed in my closet by the rubber sides separating from the leather uppers(I care for my equipment very well) and I see some reviews here of the same thing happening to this model.I gave North Face the benefit of doubt and purchased the Chilkat boots,if these boots suffer the same fate I will being updating this review. ... show more
