I ordered a XL and had to return it for a Large because it was too big. I'm 5'9 and 185 lbs and normally wear an XL so I can put some layers underneath. The large fits very well but it is a little shorter than I'm used to and can't wear that many layers underneath but for how Im going to use the jacket it works. I wore it in a torrential rain storm and stayed completely dry. I got this jacket to replace another North Face jacket I had for over twenty years after the zipper finally gave out.

My second North Face raincoat. The first is 8 or 9 years old and still going strong but I need one that doesn't look like it's 8 or 9 years old sometimes so voila! It's a great coat and it will keep you dry - thanks North Face!!
