I lost my last sling and ran across this one as a replacement. It definitely fits my needs but the cell phone pocket on the strap will hold a clam shell or Nokia 5200 series ( we should all be so lucky ) - but it is laughable trying to fit my S22+ Ultra in it. I am not bothered since I would rather it be nice and snug inside the bag anyway. I like to keep a thin wallet in my front pocket, and use this for ear buds, chargers, phone, etc. Light hiking or festivals mostly. I am 5'8" at 190lbs athletic build and the strap fits fine to me. It isn't tight, and it doesn't sag but anyone bigger up top ( ladies ) may have trouble with comfort if worn across the chest. Material is nice, looks great and is quite functional. ... show more

Love the look and quality of this North Face crossover bag. It has a nice zip pocket in the inside of the larger compartment and has a smaller compartment as well, both close with a zipper. You can also put your phone in the crossover strap. Cons: strap could definitely be longer. If you’re not a tiny, skinny person, it will probably be tight across your chest- even with the strap let all the way out. ... show more

First of all I'm glad I decided to give this bag a try. I noticed a lot of reviews mentioning the strap is too short. I'm 5'9 with a slim to average build. I have no problem getting this bag on and off my shoulder. There is 10" of slack if I wanted it more loose. I leave it in the adjustment I find most comfortable and just put it on and take it off. I took a picture of the side pocket with a 16.7 ounce bottle of water and it fits. I suspect it would even loosen up a bit with regular use. You would probably want this to be where you would keep a bottle for when you are ready for it....as a spare or something. I do think it would be cumbersome and test your patience if you were constantly removing it, then putting it back. I also have a picture showing my Marmot rain jacket rolled up inside, with the same bottle of water next to it. And still have room to work with for smaller items. I suspect you could put a compact umbrella there instead of a rain jacket if you preferred. My sunglasses fit in the shoulder compartment just fine, in the case. You have room to put a money clip in there too if you wanted. It's a really good bag and again I'm glad I gave it a try. ... show more

The quality of the bag is EXCELLENT. It’s just a hair to small to be perfect. If the bag was just a little bigger it would be the perfect sling bag. That being said I do still carry it everyday.

Bought this to bring to Bali, I wanted something secure yet smaller so I could keep my passport/money and sunscreen etc. on me at all times. It worked perfectly for that. Plus, there’s a small water bottle pocket on the side so it was nice that I didn’t need to have my bottle in my hand all the time. The bag is small but it should fit everything you need. This is the perfect bag when you have too much to carry in pockets and not enough to fill an entire backpack. I typically don't use slings so it took some getting used to. It is well padded and ventilated. I like the pocket on the strap for easy access to small items.
