Features

  • Add 1/4 cup (Negg capful) of water to the Negg. Add your hard-boiled egg and snap on the top cap.
  • Now you're ready to slip the egg out of its shell. SHAKE the Negg up and down with enough force so that the egg strikes the caps. Remember to take it a little easy, or you will end up with a slushy mess complete with shells.
  • Shake until you feel the shell begin to "soften" - approximately 4 to 12 times. Timing will vary. The body is clear so you can watch the progress.
  • When you see the white of the egg appear, you're done. Mission Accomplished. The egg will then slip out of its shell.
  • If the egg is a reluctant sheller you may have to break the membrane after shaking to get the shell to release. This can happen with extremely fresh eggs, and is not the norm.

  • Need eggs in demo
Color: Red
I watched a video demo, where the shell slid off the egg. The product should come with those perfect-to-peel eggs. Unfortunately, my organic eggs did not work with the Negg. It only helped make them harder to peel by cracking the shell into tiny pieces. One of the eggs did not survive the process, so only 5 out of 6 eggs survived with many scars to prove they went through the Negg. ... show more

  • The only problem is I am eating too many hard boiled eggs now because this is so easy.: )
Color: White
This thing works amazingly well. Peeling hard-boiled eggs has always been dicey for me. This does the job. Here is what I do: I put the eggs in a small pan, fill the pan with water to just cover the eggs. Turn on the stove till the water boils. Turn off the stove right after the water boils. Wait 10 minutes. Pour the water out and refill with cold water and 3 cups of ice. Let that sit for at least 5 minutes. Then use the Negg. Put on one cap, add water to the top of the cap. Put in the egg. Put on the other cap. Shake a little. Take off a cap. Pour the egg and water into my hand over the sink, then presto, slide the shell off. Works every time. The only problem is I am eating too many hard boiled eggs now because this is so easy. :) ... show more

  • This does work!
Color: Red
I followed the direction specifically. I had the water boiling before putting in my eggs. I let the eggs boil for 11 minutes, took them out of the pot I boiled them in and put them into iced water for 5 mins, filled the shaker cup as directed, just enough water to cover the nub in the bottom of the unit, put the top on and shook it up and down for about 12 shakes, making sure the egg mad contact with both the top and bottom of the item. I dumped the water out of the unit and slide the egg out, it looked a bit of a mess but when I slid the shell from the egg, it came off easily with no damage to the egg. Worked for me fine, first time out. ... show more

  • Hard Boiled Eggs Made Easy
Color: Yellow
I completely skeptical the first time I bought this. We purchased it first on Grommet and tried it out. I was amazed. Put the right amount of water in, drop in your hard boiled egg, close the lid, and shake. It's that easy. Most of the time the shell just slides right off as you are taking the egg out of the container. When I once had super fresh eggs, I had a little bit of difficulty with two of 24 I was using for an egg salad, but it was not nearly the trouble you experience when you hard boil a really fresh egg. I just had a few pieces to pull off. Once we knew it worked so well, it was definitely worth the price. I purchased this one and sent to my mom as a gift because I knew she would never spend this amount to get it for herself. She's always doing deviled eggs, egg salad, and macaroni salad with eggs for church potlucks and I wanted it to be easier for her. She's used it several times and loves it! ... show more

  • Wow! What a peeler!!!
Color: White
Holy cow dude! This thing is amazing! I haven’t made hard boiled eggs in a long time because I’m the absolute worst at peeling them and egg shells make my skin crawl. When I get an egg shell, I can’t eat anymore. I’m done. I decided with my workout routine to try hard boiled eggs again as snacks, and I bought this little gadget to help out. I immediately boiled 18 large eggs in the way they told me and cooked them in an ice bath for 5 minutes after the cooking was done. After 5 minutes, I put the top full of ice water inside the gadget, the egg, closed the lid, and shook. I didn’t get what I was looking for at first and I was being too gentle. You do have to shake “vigorously” for just a few seconds. AS SOON as you see the egg shell lifted anywhere on the egg, it’s done. The water has penetrated the membrane and gone between the cooked egg and the shell. You take the lid off, dump it into your hand, and slide the destroyed shell off like butter. It’s really that easy. Even the cracked eggs (3/18) worked great in the machine. Actually, they worked faster because the shell and membrane were already penetrated. I ruined one egg from shaking too hard and long, but that’s 1/18 and all the rest were perfect except one small part of another that was my fault. (In the picture, you can see two cracked eggs. One in the center with a weird crack from leaking and one on the bottom with a big hole from the egg that leaked out) I’d buy this again in a heartbeat! Never breaking the egg and losing pieces of shell inside will save me from getting tired of these beauties! ... show more

  • Worth the investment
Color: Red
OMG! Finally something that gives me hard boiled eggs without the aggravation and without losing half of the eggs. Shells come off in one piece if you follow the directions. Yes it's a little pricey, but when you think what it saves you over the life of the product, it's well worth it!

  • Makes peeling eggs a lot more fun. Cool eggs completely and follow included instructions
Color: Yellow
Makes peeling eggs a lot more fun. Cool eggs completely and follow included instructions. Add a little water, the hard-boiled egg and shake, shake, shake. It cracks up the shell, sorry Humpty, and the shell peels right off.

  • Not worth the money.
Color: Red
I have tried this multiple times and it destroys the eggs. The same batch of boiled eggs peeled just fine by hand. Such a disappointment since this was a gift for my husband. Missed the return window.
