The newest Tarcher Success Classic pulls together, in one convenient and inspiring compendium, some of the rarest and most extraordinary books by mind-power master Joseph Murphy. This unmatched anthology features more than twenty books and pamphlets, including Murphy's most beloved works, such as The Power of Your Subconscious Mind and How to Attract Money--as well as extraordinary but difficult-to-find early classics, such as The Meaning of Reincarnation, Nuclear Religion, Why Did This Happen to Me?, and Fear Not. 24 Books by Joseph Murphy
Format: Kindle
Dr. Joseph Murphy (1898-1981) was a leading figure in the New Thought movement. His books and audio talks emphasize the power of the subconscious mind and the importance of positive thinking along with faith in this power. In the 1940s he healed himself of life threatening cancer, and he recounts similar wondrous events throughout his works. Like many others over the years, I've always found Dr. Murphy's books to be insightful, warm, uplifting and encouraging. This collection of 24 books ends with his most well known and classic work THE POWER OF YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND, written in 1963. I have almost all of Dr. Joseph Murphy's printed books and was looking forward to someday getting the original, unedited, unmodernized versions in eBook format. Publisher JEREMY P. TARCHER/ PENGUIN here provides 24 books written from 1945-1963, all nicely formatted with linked Table of Contents. This Kindle book also provides page numbers and the entire volume is 932 pages. Individual books do not have their own separate page numbers but those can be easily calculated if desired. This is a wonderful collection and we now look forward to seeing all of his other books similarly published as original, unedited, unmodernized version eBooks nicely formatted with linked Table of Contents. Here is a list of the 24 books contained in this volume: THIS IS IT: THE ART OF METAPHYSICAL DEMONSTRATION (1945, revised 1948) FEAR NOT (1946) LOVE IS FREEDOM (1948) RICHES ARE YOUR RIGHT (1952) HOW TO USE THE POWER OF PRAYER (1953) THE MIRACLES OF YOUR MIND (1953, revised 1955) MAGIC OF FAITH (1954) THE MEANING OF REINCARNATION (1954) HOW TO ATTRACT MONEY (1955) BELIEVE IN YOURSELF (1955) TRAVELING WITH GOD (1956) PRAYER IS THE ANSWER: THE MEANING OF THE SACRAMENTS (1956) PEACE WITHIN YOURSELF: THE MEANING OF THE BOOK OF JOHN (1956) HOW TO USE YOUR HEALING POWER: THE MEANING OF THE HEALINGS OF JESUS (1957) PRAY YOUR WAY THROUGH IT: THE INNER MEANING OF THE REVELATION OF ST. JOHN THE DIVINE (1958) QUIET MOMENTS WITH GOD (1958) THE HEALING POWER OF LOVE (1958) STAY YOUNG FOREVER (1958) LIVING WITHOUT STRAIN: THE INNER MEANING OF THE BOOK OF JOB (1959) TECHNIQUES IN PRAYER THERAPY (1960) YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR WHOLE LIFE (1961) NUCLEAR RELIGION (1961) WHY DID THIS HAPPEN TO ME? (1962) THE POWER OF YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND (1963) UPDATE - 02/09/2017: Tarcher/Penguin has just released 3 other books by Dr. Murphy. All are his original unedited works and very nicely formatted with linked Table of Contents and and sub-headings throughout the books. Hopefully more books will follow. Reading this book changed my emotional state completely. I ...
Format: Kindle
Reading this book changed my emotional state completely. I was in a 2-year depressive slump and randomly ran into this book in a bookstore. I ended up getting the Kindle version because the physical book was about 8x10x3, weighed about 3 lbs, and had a 6pt font. Within the next couple of weeks of reading random chunks of the 2-dozen or so books this includes, what I was reading started connecting up with numerous experiences I'd had, as well as functionally describing the mechanism I observed in operation in a very early "spiritual" experience I had. In short, what he was describing exactly matched my own direct observations of what Alchemists refer to as the "Great Magical Agent," or the "First Matter." The realization drove home an understanding that previously was only intellectual. Something to be aware of is that he speaks of everything in Biblical terms. But he's not talking about ANY common understanding of the Bible. This is categorically NOT a "Jesus saves" book. At all. Just know it's the language he uses to explain the mechanisms that create the world we experience, and read through it. It's a much more accurate expression of what the Bible's actually talking about than ANY standard Christian interpretation.
