This is my favorite child's book. It came used and dirty/sticky with hair on the outside, but it was a hard cover, so it can be cleaned. Read it to my kids again and again, and now I’m buying copies for my grandchildren. Such a fun and endearing story. Cute illustrations, and sing-song-y rhythm to the words. It’s a quick read, that leaves us all smiling!

I used to read this book to my little sister so when I had my son and saw this it was a must have in our house. My son loves it and the book is so adorable. The rhymes and cadence of the story put him to bed everytime.

I bought both versions hoping to get the original cover as listed neither book had the old cover. I went through both the board & paperback book and the board book is missing the page that shows them all eating pizza. The paper version has it though along with an activity at the end saying things like "find out what Tiny Tim would look like if he had the mumps or measles" and "make a pizza out of construction paper..."🙃 still a cute read though and love the illustration. ... show more

This is an old jump-rope skipping rhyme, that likely has somewhat disreputable origins, but I talked up the fact that Susan B. Anthony carried an alligator purse with my 3-year old granddaughter Lucy who was not asking any questions about how "Miss Lucy" could have a baby.
