  • Nice concept, suitable for hobbyists
I found this while searching for a way to manually record details of my new business after my computer crashed, but I wavered between two and three stars on it. Pros: The 'Design' pages are very well thought out and detailed so that there is very little you are likely to omit from concept to completion and pricing. There is space for brainstorming, sketching and working out estimated costs of your projects. I like that because sometimes I don't practice enough patience to note everything and try to hold some stuff in my head. All pages are numbered and there's a Table of Contents for easy reference to the entries. Cons: The soft cover is exactly that, soft! For something that could potentially be heavily used I don't see this as being durable. There wasn't enough space for Inventory and the lines, columns and spaces are way too small. There are pages in the back for Shopping Lists which, in my opinion, is unnecessary since these lists will not be retained once the purchase is made. Any notepad could suffice for that. I used those areas for the much needed Inventory list and renamed the columns to accommodate that. There is a lot of space for 'Photography', but I'm not sure how much that will be used since most persons retain a prototype of their projects as well as electronic images nowadays. This is more suitable for a hobbyist who wants to keep a record of stuff they make and plan for potential projects. The search continues. ... show more
