  • Chain Style: 50 Contemporary Jewelry Designs
I am a jewelry designer who prefers asymmetrical designs with contrast and texture. I sell my designs at a Fine Arts Museum gift shop, a local gallery downtown, holiday fairs, as well as to friends. I am always searching for a new "reference" book to help push me to a new level of design; and this book as done just that. I just received it today, gave it a quick, but thorough glance; and my mind is already scanning my inventory to come up with a new design. This book is great. ... show more

  • Chain Style Book
I just received the book in the mail. I made the front cover necklace the first night. I can't wait to start on a few more. It has great directions and tips plus a resource directory. It is nice to be able to copy a design in detail. I am relatively new to working with chain and found this to be a good resource for inspiration and learning to balance the designs. ... show more

  • Great book if you want to work with chain!
This is a fantastic book if you are looking to incorporate more chain in your jewelry crafting. The styles range from simple and elegant to total statement pieces and the photos are great. The instructions are clear and easy and the inspiration and ideas you can take from the projects are endless!

  • Be Prepared.
Just getting started! Somewhat disappointed that a few of the designs are not completely handmade from start to finish, they show instead, purchasing finished pieces and putting that together. The three stars goes to the designers that actually "DESIGNED" their pieces.

  • Good Information
This book offers both needed instruction for the beginner (me)and creative ideas for variety of types of jewelry. I would've liked a bit more on the general information section, i.e. discussion of gauges, and appropriate chain and wire sizes/types for different uses. As a beginner, I have found that ordering chain by link mm size alone can be a problem. ... show more

  • Just My Style
I got this book today, and the contemporary style is just what I was looking for. I am new to jewelry making, but I would love to make some or all of these designs, with my own adaptations. It is one of the best books I have gotten so far.

  • This book is great
Will be making many of the projects in this book. I like the way it shows you can use many different kinds of components together to make jewelry that is not boring.
