During COVID quarantine I decided to make the most of the time and set some serious health and fitness goals for myself, one of them being to drink at least 2 liters of water per day. It’s been hard for me to track my water consumption in the past because I just take drinks here and there out of smaller bottles and it’s a pain to keep track of how much. With this, it’s super simple; fill it up at the star of each day and drain it by the end (preferably before 8pm so I’m not running to the bathroom all night). Besides the fact that it has totally simplified my goal and kept me 100% on track since I’ve had it, the bottle itself is AWESOME!! It looks super cool and chic (I have never gotten compliments on a water bottle before until I got this), ultra light weight (which is great because the water weighs enough all on its own), DOESN’T LEAK (it’s passed the test of getting thrown in the back of my trunk), the water stays colder longer thanks to its own personal little wetsuit, the spout is the PERFECT size for drinking (not too small, not too big) and isn’t made of that gross silicone that I hate on water bottles, the bottles doesn’t taste weird, seems super high quality and well made, and the carry strap might be the best feature in a water bottle that I’ve ever had!! The handle is awesome too, but the strap is just soooooooo convenient! I keep my bottle in the bottom of my fridge door and grabbing the strap is the easiest way to pull it out and carry it around. I really look forward to taking this with me to the gym after quarantine but have already taken it with me to run around the park and just driving around town. I haven’t experienced any issues with the quality of the materials used as others have mentioned, specifically with regard to the cover, but I will update if I do. The only thing to note that isn’t necessarily a con is if you’re too aggressive with your drinking or tip it back too far, you will get splashed in the face by the air hole (which often whistles while I drink as well). Again, it’s not a con because the bottle HAS to have an air hole so the flow will be smooth, but because of where it’s placed, you just have to be careful not to tip it back too far or too fast when drinking. Pro tip: I have also recently discovered Stur water enhancing drops and LOVE to add them to my keg to make drinking this much water a little more enjoyable. All it takes is 2 squirts for the whole jug and it tastes great! In summary, this is water bottle has been the difference between keeping my water goals and not and looking/staying cool doing it! Update #2: well it looks like the bottle I've received was in fact defective. The replacement they sent out came in very quickly and this one works as it should. Air tight seal, the cap has rubber fittings all around and is absolutely leak free no matter how hard I shake it. This is the bottle I expected it to be initially and it really lives up to the name... It's a keg! I usually have to refill my 42oz bottles a few times a day, this definitely keeps me from doing it. The sleeve also helps with condensation if you chose to put I've cubes, which I do. It doesn't keep it cold for 24 hrs but its also not insulated so I didn't expect it to. Very light, great product, even better customer service! Update: Shortly after this review I got a follow up email from the Gym Keg Team and I was reassured that this is most likely a damaged unit. Greg went above and beyond to take care of the issue and even offered to send out a replacement. The level of engagement and accountability is very refreshing to see. Will update again from i receive the new bottle, but seeing a company standing behind it's product deserves some credit. I really liked the look of this bottle and wanted to like it however the bottle came deformed, which looked to be caused by vaccum/cabin pressure. It bent back into shape once I opened it and pushed from the inside, but it left a permanent ding on the bottle (pictured). Now the imperfection alone wouldn't be a deal breaker since I can just dress it up in the sleeve but the bottle leaks aggressively! It's a nice, lightweight bottle and looks good but I would not trust it in my car and certainly not in a gym bag. The sleeve is really nice quality, a couple loose stitches but overall a nice snug fit that's easy to take on and off. I could live with all the issues except for the massive leak. I absolutely love these water bottles. The handle is in the perfect location, the flip top non-straw spout is great for getting hydration fast (it does whistle sometimes, whatever), the neoprene jacket does help insulate and protect, and I do use the lanyard with a carabiner. I am on my 4th edition, which leads to my only criticism. I wish it was offered (exactly the same) just made of stainless steel. This bottle goes everywhere and lots of outings and it takes some bumps and bruises. It will eventually get cracks and it is a sad day for sure. Hopefully number 4 hold out for a while. ... show more

This is the perfect water bottle! It’s XXTRA big anddddd it’s super cute. However, the color wasn’t what I expected :( it’s a tan color with like a pink undertone. It was like a pale pink like the picture showed. And the cloth handle doesn’t come off so when you wash it, it gets wet and it just always stays there :/ ... show more

This water bottle is really a good purchase. It is extremely durable, easy to clean, and easy to hold with either the handle or attached fabric carrying handle. It does not keep drinks cold for very long, however, so I would recommend adding extra ice to your drink.

Ordered this to carry to work and while out and about to make sure I am getting enough water in for the day. It's fantastic. I mix amino acids in with it and there is no taste or smell left behind in the keg with just rinsing with hot water. The neoprene sleeve keeps the water cold nearly all day long. Would definitely recommend. 2 minor cons that are more annoyances than real problems: 1. the vent hole in the lid whistles when you drink 2. the lid screws on and stops directly over the handle. I'd be nice if it were 90 degrees off set from the handle so you could drink a little easier or make the top open 90 degrees from the current location. The lid doesn't open flat either. Overall, 4 stars and I would buy this again without hesitation. Update 6-22-21 - I’ve had this now for about a month. The lid is starting to split open. I’ve attached photos. I’m going to try contact in the company....I’ll update again with result. ... show more
