  • For the true beginner
Very well written. This book is geared towards the beginner but offers insights for any travel trailer owner.

  • Very concise advise
This is a very nice, brief guide for newbies. Well-written, inexpensive, and offers good advice.

  • Good read for the new and seasoned RVer
Easy to read and understand, and written with a good sense of humor as well. I may have to check out some of his other writings.

  • Nothing about brands, models and quality
I fully expected (hoped) this book would include some of the authors wisdom about travel trailer manufacturers, models and quality. It was silent on this problem. A huge omission.

  • Good info
Good but I wish there was more about pop up campers.

  • A good starting point for learning about travel trailer ownership and use
I found this to be a very useful guide, especially for the reasonable price. The only item I would like to see discussed further in the next revision of this book is the treatment of black water in the holding tank. There seems to be two schools of thought: 1. Treat the holding tank like a septic system and take all possible actions to break down the waste and paper products before dumping. Add enzyme packets to the tank to facilitate breakdown and control odors. Use RV-specific toilet paper. 2. Treat the holding tank like... a holding tank. Keep all contents 'whole' so they don't break down into a sludge that clogs level sensors and is more difficult to drain. Add Pine-Sol disinfectant for odor control. Use any septic-safe toilet paper. Flush twice to keep the water / waste ratio high. I don't expect the author to necessarily choose one method over the other but I feel it's worth discussing to let new RV owners explore the option that they feel is most effective for their black water tank. I also appreciated the author's writing style. It made for an enjoyable read. ... show more
