We recently started to potty train our 19mo old daughter (it's slow progress), and we had one of these potty seats from a friend. I wasn't concerned so much with the design (though I do like the car theme), but the features included. First, here's a splash guard on the front. This is pretty common for most of these seats. Second, there are side handles for our daughter to hang on to when standing, sitting, and just to brace with. These aren't present on all seats and I find them pretty useful. Additionally, the basin is 2 pieces, where the seat comes off separate from the cup catch underneath. This is preference, but the cup catch is small, and is easier to wash in a sink vs some units that incorporate both into the same piece of plastic. My main reason for buying this on Amazon is to have a second identical potty seat for our home (one in her room upstairs, one downstairs when we can't make it back up in time). I didn't want to confuse our daughter with 2 different seats with different feels to them. No issues with the second unit. This is very colorful and looks like a toy to my 23 month old son. He pushes it, it doesn't move, and wants me to push, I play like it doesn't move. You know I did the potty thing and he's not having it with this toy looking potty. This potty got my 3.5 son interested in sitting and trying. We like how it has a high up urine guard in the middle, to prevent leaks on the floor. It's also super easy to take apart and dump into the toilet. Even my son can do it. Highly recommend.
