I have a severe problem going to sleep and staying asleep so when I saw the chill pill I immediately ordered it because I'm 64 years of age and I have been dealing with this ever since I was probably 19 years old and I have other medical issues so I jumped at the chance to get some rest without taking another pill. I got the chill pill and read the instructions and tried it the same night and I felt NOTHING so I tried putting on a different hand and again nothing so I tried to return it and was told that it couldn't be returned because of the oils in the machine but Amazon knew that it had oils in it when it was mailed to me but because it has the same oil in it when they mail it. The representative that I spoke with told me to contact the chill pill company for assistance and I have sent several contacts but no one has touch base with me. I'm not giving up because I would be very thankful if someone can help me get it to work but if no one can help me get this thing to work just give me my money so I can try something else. I give this item a -0 because it doesn't work.

This is my second chill pill device. I had my first one for a year or so and I absolutely love it for falling asleep. After reading the negative reviews, I really wanted to provide my positive review for anyone who feels discouraged. It definitely takes a little time to get used it. The simple fact is some people may not like the feeling. My significant other compared it to a trick gum zapper - to which I disagree. I did adapt to the buzz pretty quickly. It also is not always noticeable depending on the placement on your hand vs the intensity you have it at. I find I do not like high intensity but therefore need it placed in a particular spot in my hand to feel the pulses. I have anxiety attacks and difficulties sleeping. I find the pulsing to be relaxing and distracting from the body reactions i have as a result of my anxiety. Sometimes it doesn’t help if I’m too focused on my mental state - but this is device isn’t a fix all therapy. It is an amazing tool for refocusing and centering yourself. I primarily use this device for sleeping. Every night - assuming I haven’t lost in under the bed - it acts like counting sheep for me. I’ve gotten to a point where it’s always still in my hand when I wake up and I will turn the device back on when I wake up throughout the night. It’s calming and helps me drift off to sleep pretty easily. I draw a lot of comfort from this device - I highly suggest trying it if you’re looking for a tool to help calm and refocus yourself. It charges quickly and last weeks before needing recharging!

I was skeptical, but it says "Eligible for refund or return" so I decided to give it a try. I was actually looking forward to trying it out the night it arrived... I charged it up, squeezed my hand through the TINY loop, and turned it on. BAM! My hand is suddenly accosted by a series of pulsed shocks, traveling through my connective tissue. Not quite painful, but certainly not relaxing. I tried adjusting the program, and the the frequency of the shocks turned to rapid fire. I tried adjusting the strength using the two side buttons, but was only able to reduce it slightly. There was not a single setting in which I felt at all inclined to close my eyes and drift off. The placement at various points on my hand either made the sensation completely nonexistent, or simply had the shocks traveling up and down different parts of my hand. I gave up and took it off. When I went to return it, come to find out the only time it is "eligible" is if it was non-functional when delivered. Save your money.

Had high hopes. It just didn't work for me. Thought maybe it just wasn't charged enough, so let it charge longer. It works in the sense that it is not broken, but it did not help me fall asleep. I had to squeeze the pill so hard just to feel the pulses, which is not relaxing.

I was skeptical at first but decided to give the Chill Pill a try after struggling with anxiety. Once I figured out the right spot to hold it (took me a couple tries to find the sweet spot in my palm), it's made a real difference. I keep it in my desk at work and use it whenever I feel my anxiety starting to build up. The gentle pulses help break that spiral of anxious thoughts. This sleep device doesn't work! This was a Christmas gift to a dear friend who has anxiety and difficulty sleeping. We charged the device, waited for it to work and it didn't, not even a buzz. I had to get a refund. So I push the button FRAUD, because the advertising on this device states all these wonderful things, then you pay a lot of money for it, then the product doesn't work and then they tell you it is non-refundable. So, my dear friend has a gift that is defective, I am out a lot of money, and the seller has the money. So, I push the button on FRAUD and was able to get a representative. Who gave me a complete refund, very quickly. If you are reading this, please be warned, I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

So I bought this for my mom as a gift. It’s a real oddity. Unique in premise, not so great in execution. When we first tried it, it zapped us pretty harshly. We were able to adjust the intensity but the “pulsation” that I believe they were striving to achieve was more like a mini electric shock. In the palm of your hand, it simply isn’t pleasant. Mom tried using this for over a week. She ended up staying up longer because the sensation wasn’t pleasant to her. All good intentions with this one, and I understand the philosophy behind it. I just don’t think the desired outcome was achieved here. Keep trying, just not there yet.
