Love this paint set, it was a great addition to my Vallejo Basic set. Just be aware that the miniature requires clipping and assembly. Best to have a good set of snips and files to put this one together...but MAN is it NICE!! Cant wait to paint this bad boy up and put him in a game! I got the set with the free Acererak minature. Please know that you have to put the minature together yourself. It's about 9-10 pieces to put together. It's not as hard some reviews say. Might be hard for a young kid but overall it wasn't that hard. If you don't have a heated xacto blade to remove the pieces from the storage grid just use some small cutting pliers of some sort. A normal xacto blade works too. Then just sand the broken tabs with a nail file. Use some gel super glue and you're good to go! The paints are good quality. Opaque and colorful. Be sure to shake the bottles well to get the best of them. Good luck! ... show more

My son likes the fact its D & D Paints from The Army Painter. The branding and licensing kind of gives it intrinsic value to him. He is into undead stuff so I think he will get a lot of milage out of the paints for his table top gaming hobby. It would be cool if this set came with a single beginner The Army Painter brush and maybe a sampler palette for the same price. That way people can sample The Army Painter brushes and see if they are for them, and the set really would have all you need to get started. ... show more
