That’s where this bad boy Thatch Rake came to the rescue. When I received the package, the box was rather small so I had my hesitations. Upon opening, this rake was VERY easy to assemble, and I knew from that moment on, I was going to love this product. The handle is nice and long so I wasn’t breaking my back trying to use force on the lawn. The handle and rake are made of a high quality light weight metal. It was super effective for me to easily remove the dead grass and weeds from what was still healthy. Its size allowed me to cover a good amount of ground at once in a very timely manner. I definitely am very happy I took the chance in this rake, it has already gotten a lot of use, and will continue to as time goes on. Price point is great for the product you get.

The media could not be loaded. I grabbed this rake for my brother’s lawn and it’s honestly one of the most unusual ones I’ve seen. At full length it stretches out to 74 inches, which makes it the longest rake I’ve ever handled, but the funny part is it also breaks down into smaller pieces so it ends up being the shortest too. That makes it super easy to work with and then tuck away in the shed without taking up much room. Putting it together was simple. The handle sections twist right on, the head screws in tight, and it all feels really solid once it’s locked in place. No wobbles or loose parts. It’s also easy to take apart again, which is a big win for storage. Function-wise, it works great. The head has two sides, so you can use one for pulling up thatch and dead grass, and the other for loosening up the soil a bit. It’s a nice touch because it does more than just sweep the lawn. The head grabs a lot with each pass, and the tines dig in enough to pull junk out without messing up the healthy grass. The fit and comfort are surprisingly good for something this big. Since it’s so long, you don’t have to bend down much, which is a back saver when you’re out there for a while. The grip is padded and feels steady, so it doesn’t slide around even if your hands get sweaty. Durability feels spot on. The head is tough steel and doesn’t bend, and the coating keeps it from rusting. The stainless handle feels just as strong, so I don’t see it giving out anytime soon. For the price, I think it’s solid value. You get a heavy-duty rake that’s long when you need reach, short when you need storage, and versatile enough to do a couple different jobs in the yard. It’s honestly impressive, and I like that it feels like a tool you’ll keep around for years. Highly recommended!

My husband loves this thatch rake. He assembled it and commented on how well made it is. Quality materials and very sharp blades. When we mow there is a ton of thatch left on the top of the grass. We really needed something like this to pick it all up. Regular rakes don't do it. This product came well packaged. My husband says that having it double sided gives you options. If you are left with grass cuttings to rake up, this is the tool for you. As the blades are very sharp, you can also use it for some tilling work as well. A nice product!

De-thatching rake is heavy duty steel with metal 4 section screw together handle and foam grip. It is pretty solid once assembled and includes bolts and 2 wrenches to assemble the head to the bottom section of the pole. (Just throw those wrenches away and get a couple regular wrenches out of your toolbox to assemble, you’ll be glad you did:) The rake is heavy enough to scrape through the grass to pick up dead grass and bring it to the surface. It can also be used to scrape and loosen the dirt before planting seeds. The head has a pivoting function that allows you to change the angle utilizing wing nuts, but be sure to get them tight so it wont pivot around on you while using it. With all handle sections installed, it is about 7’ tall. You can install only the number of sections you want. Overall this is of good quality and if you need a de-thatcher, this one should do the job well.

If you have ever tried to thatch your lawn with a standard rake, you know how hard that can be. This rake takes the brute force and hard labor out of the job and makes it so much easier. The tines will rotate to allow you to "push" the rake forward easily, then "pull" it back to engage the tines and rake the dead grass out. The design of the rake allows you to thatch your lawn without ever lifting the rake off the ground which requires much less effort. The long handle is made of very strong high-quality PVC plastic and keeps the overall weight of the rake down. This is contrary to the website description which says the handle is stainless steel. I don't think a metal handle would have improved the quality that much and may have made it unnecessarily heavy. This rake can be broken down into sections and stored easily into a small space. Sections of the handle can be removed if you prefer to have a shorter rake. This tool will last a long time in normal use.
