Description

TetraMin® Tropical Flakes are a nutritionally balanced, complete diet for optimal health in top- and mid-feeding aquarium fish. These crisps leave up to 35 percent less waste behind than competing flakes for more usable food, clearer water and healthy fish. The uniform size of each crisp provides consistency in feeding. The world’s favorite fish food continues to be an innovation leader. Today’s TetraMin has been improved with the fishkeeper’s success in mind. The “Clean and Clear Water Formula” means that the flakes are even easier to digest and do not leach color, thereby keeping aquarium water clean and clear. TetraMin continues to be made with patented, health-enhancing ProCare. This precise blend of immunostimulants, vitamins, biotin and omega-3 fatty acids is custom designed to strengthen fish’s resistance to disease and stress. TetraMin Tropical Flakes contain the Tetra Active Life Formula™, with antioxidants for healthy cells, select proteins for growth and prebiotics for digestion. Active Life Formula helps nutritionally support fish’s immune system for optimal health and long life. Feed two to three times daily, only as much as your fish can consume within three minutes. This food will not cloud water when used as directed. Since 1951, Tetra has developed the world’s most comprehensive body of fish food knowledge, and fishkeeping enthusiasts have looked to the brand for products and solutions that add ease and beauty to their home. Whether you're an experienced hobbyist or just starting out, Tetra has everything you need – from a large variety of quality fish food and innovative equipment to test kits and decor.

Great everyday fish food
Size: 7.06 Ounce (Pack of 1)

I’ve been using these TetraMin Tropical Flakes for my small fish and they seem to really like them. The flakes are easy to crush into smaller pieces, which is helpful for tiny fish. They float long enough for the fish to eat them and don’t seem to make a huge mess when I use the right amount. The container is a good size and should last quite a while. Overall, this is a simple and convenient fish food that has worked well for me ... show more

Great Food for Tropical Fish
Size: 7.06 Ounce (Pack of 1)
TetraMin Tropical Flakes are easy to feed and a good everyday option for tropical fish. The flakes are a convenient size, and my fish seem to enjoy them. I like that they provide a balanced diet and are easy to portion. Overall, a good staple fish food for keeping tropical fish well fed.

Surprising amount of fish food! Great value. The fish love it. My 2nd time buying.
Size: 4.52 Pound (Pack of 1)

This food is very good quality. This container of 4.52 pounds is an extremely large amount of fish food. And it's a great value for the money. I am on my 2nd one now. I give it to all my fish. It is colorful. All the fish like it. It smells like fish food. My guppies, mollies, platy, goldfish, grouramis, cichlids, and even the catfish all eat it. I give them some other food every once in awhile too, but this is mostly what they eat. I have never had a single problem from it. It doesn't cloudy up my water unless I really over do it. I think they like the way that it tastes. My fish prefer this over other brands I have tried before. This is enough food to last most fish owners several years. I refill smaller containers with the large container every once in awhile so it will stay fresh. I am careful not to crush it. ... show more

★★★★☆ Great Quality Food — Just Be Ready to Crush the Flakes
Size: 7.06 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I’ve tried a lot of fish foods over the years, and this one is definitely high quality. The first thing I noticed was how fresh it looked and smelled (not overly fishy or stale like some brands). My fish responded immediately at feeding time — strong color, active swimming, and no hesitation eating it once it was in the tank. Water clarity has also stayed consistent, which tells me it’s not full of fillers that break down and cloud things up. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is the flake size. The flakes are very large — much bigger than standard flake food. For medium or smaller fish, you absolutely have to crush it between your fingers before feeding. It’s not a huge deal, but it does add an extra step and can be a little messy if you’re in a hurry. That said, once crushed, my fish eat it eagerly and seem to do great on it. If you have larger fish, this might actually be a bonus for you. For smaller community tanks, just plan on breaking it up first. Overall: excellent ingredients, fish love it, just oversized flakes. Would buy again — and would definitely give five stars if the flake size were more practical. ... show more
