When doctor said I'd need to ice up following my vasectomy, using a 20- minute on / 20- minute off cycle, I started to look at what I could use. The issue was you needed to put the pack in-between a layer of clothing, but also have a way to secure it there if you're up and about. Also you needed a jock strap as well to keep everything secured. Well, here you are. A jock strap with a pocket for an ice pack that warms up after 20- minutes so you don't overdo it and has a spare so you can re-freeze while able to keep the 20- minute cycles. I bought two pairs of these per a doctor recommendation. Was very much skeptical at first. However, found they were worth the cost for me and would buy again if doing it over. Here is what I liked: 1) Easy to discretely apply ice post surgery and keep the ice in place. Great benefit with a bunch of kids running around the house and while moving around.. 2) Good support. I didn't understand the importance of this until today. I had been wearing these every day post surgery (Fri to Sun) and had essentially no pain. I tried wearing just boxers to work today (I don't have briefs) and understood by the end of the day why support is important as I was walking a bit bull-legged by the end of the day and starting to feel some pain. Put these back on after getting home and was instantly more comfortable. Now, if I didn't have a house full of kids and also had some briefs in the drawer, a few bags of peas would probably have been just fine. However, that wasn't my situation. Also, a note on the ice packs. The image is very misleading on the part of the seller. It looks like there is ice for both sides, but that is not the case. The ice goes in a pouch in the front, not on the sides, and there is only room for one ice pack. However, the ice pack is big enough that it works fine. Just need to position everything correctly so the ice is on the right parts. It was also nice having 4 ice packs across the two pairs so I could rotate them through the freezer. Each one probably lasted around 20 minutes. As for size, I am 6', 220 and the X-large fit fine. I am guessing a large probably would have been fine as well (all the material can stretch out). ... show more

Ordered size large and got a medium. It ended up being okay though. My boyfriend ended up having zero swelling or bruising from his procedure unlike his buddies that he knew that had also had it done. These undies were his go to pair the first few days. Should have bought more than one for sure! We ended up just washing them from day to day so he would have them to wear. There isn’t much material so they dried fast. The undies come with 2 ice pack things but you only use one at a time in the pouch in the front. They freeze pretty quickly so the next one is ready when you need it. He felt like the cold lasted a decent time as well. These are a definite must have if you’re having a vasectomy or any other groin procedure. After a few days he had some rubbing on his thighs but he didn’t even want to mention that. He thinks it’s because he got a medium instead of the large we ordered. They definitely still did the job! 100% recommend ... show more
