  • Very Unique Filter Design, Fits Plaid
Style: 21-24 cabin filter
This is a surprising air filter design, a bit different than the OEM filter. It is composed of five layers, one of the layers is entrapped loose (activated?) carbon beads which I've never seen before in a car air filter. The installation instructions are a bit confusing, there are no arrows on the filter showing direction of air flow. I assume the carbon bead side faces the ambient air side since the darker side of the OEM filter faced that way. It looks like it seals better around the edges than the OEM filter. Filter comes with a plastic lever tool to help remove the panel which looks useful, but I didn't notice it until after I was done! Cost is about 30% cheaper than the OEM filter. Very satisfied with the product. ... show more

  • Wonderful product

Fit better than the Tesla filter and the instructions we perfect!

  • Exactly what I needed
Style: 21-24 cabin filter
Super easy to install in my 2022 Model S. The old filter I replaced was pretty dirty, and I noticed the improvement immediately. The air inside now smells fresh, almost like a brand-new car again.

  • FITS MX 2018
The process to change the air filter is straightforward, but tedious. A simple google search will show you just how. Other than that, this filter is a good value for replacement as opposed to the $50 option from Tesla. The air smells clean and the filter fits just as expected. Will be repurchasing down the road when it's due again. ... show more

  • Easy to install, bad smells went away!
Mine was due, and while the process of replacing it was a pain (having to take out the glove compartment to get to it), it wasn't the fault of the filter. The filter itself fit perfectly and snugly where it belonged, and the smells that had been accumulating in the car all went away. Will buy this again when I need another one. ... show more

  • Had I watched the videos before I would have missed out on this easy service replacement
I've had my Signature Model X P90D for over 7 years now. In the beginning Tesla service was excellent to schedule routine items with. With time and a huge increase in production of models that's tougher plus my closest service center is over an hour away. So doing some of the rare routine service myself is very appealing. I've had my cabin air filter replaced once by Tesla 5 years ago. I also have the HEPA filter in the frunk area which has never been changed, but I have vacuumed it once in 7 years. Had I viewed the several videos on Youtube on how to replace the inside cabin air filter I probably wouldn't have attempted it since they all had some amount of problems, but I hadn't seen them and since I had already received the filter I figured I'd give it a try. Glad I did. All 3 panels came off relatively easy and the biggest issue with the 6 screws was finding all of the locations for them. You just have to follow the suggestions in the videos to get the panels off. Use a pry tool to start it then pull hard. Though the door side end panel came off real easy. The bottom panel took a bit of force to pull it off and the center side/top panel took a lot of force to get it off since the top pulls straight out and the center side pulls toward the door. Then remove the 6 screws and the glove box comes out. I didn't detach either of the cables to the glove box and just let it hang. The filter housing cover (circled in purple in the 3rd photo) then is removed by squeezing the the tabs on the door side end and pulling outward. Then it's just a matter of pulling out the old filter and installing the new filter with the cut corner end toward the door side. Fits perfect. I vacuumed out the area but there was little dust and in fact the old filter really wasn't that dirty so the HEPA filter must be working well. Then just reverse the steps, putting back the housing cover. Placing back the glovebox lining up with the screw holes. Though make sure neither of the cables came disconnected which I missed and had to disassemble and remove the glove box when I realized the glove box button didn't work. Replace the 6 screws. Finally put the panels back thumping them along the length to make sure all the clips are engaged. Took me about 30 minutes but would have been shorter had I not accidentally disconnected the glovebox power connector before reinstalling the glovebox. All in all worth the price though you can probably go 3 or 4 years if you have the HEPA BioHazard Defence filter without needing to replace the cabin air filter in an X and it may be a good suggestion to have Tesla do the first change to loosen the clips which may be why I had so little issue doing this. ... show more

  • I love the smell of a fresh filter in the morning!
This is a good filter. It has the clean-air smell that I can't describe, but you know it when you experience it. Fit is perfect. Installation in the Model X is moderate. Like with many modern cars, it involves prying off interior trim pieces. I wish I could take a picture of the fresh air coming out of the vents, but it's good. ... show more

  • OEM like
Looks and feels like the OEM cabin air filter. It's a bit harder to get to in a Model X - but entirely doable by yourself if you are the least bit handy. Perseverance is key!
