This is the 2nd purchase I've made of this particular desk. I've had the first one for a good 5 years in my bedroom. This one is for a soldering station next to the living room. Everything fits together well and the ability to assemble with the L shape at either side is handy when it comes to optimizing space for placement. Material quality seems to be very good. The wood is heavy as are also the metal bars that form the frame. I haven't used the hole in the corner for mounting a monitor but I think it's a nice touch to have it there. The two side shelves are big enough to set a few things of interest on but for the most part the underside of the desk is a fully open space. This is a good quality desk for the asking price. Assembly took maybe an hour or so. It's pretty simple. If I ever needed another desk I'd go with this again. It's pretty ideal for my needs with the L shape and customizable underside for whatever shelves or drawers I want to put under there. ... show more

I had previously bought a table and was disappointed because it was very small and the quality wasn't that good. But when I saw this table, I simply fell in love with it. It's a great size. I use two computers and there was a lot of space. The wood is the structure is resistant. The assembly was easy following the instructions in the guide. The gold on the metal is painted gold; I expected it to be a little more gold in fact. But other than that, everything is fine; the table is great. The imitation marble top is beautiful. I highly recommend it if you are in doubt between white or marbled; I would go with the marbled one, this table is very elegant. I loved this." ... show more

I purchased this desk as I required more surface area for my newfound from-home work duties, and landed on this one due to its overall favorable reviews. I had some concern that the desk may arrive damaged or with missing pieces, but everything was present, marked accordingly, and well-organized. Overall, I greatly enjoy this desk. It feels solid, and it's clear they didn't use cheap particle boards. The finish looks great, has a nice, smooth texture, and feels durable. The frame feels very stable, and in general this desk seems to have been thoughtfully designed and constructed. A note about the included PC board: It's easy to build and does what is advertised, but it's a little on the small side. My PC is a pretty standard custom-build computer in a mid-sized tower, but it just barely fit on the board width-wise, and sticks out a little bit on both sides length-wise. It still works fine, and, more importantly, keeps my PC off the carpet, but still worth noting. Some advice for purchasers: 1) Having a second person to help build the desk is recommended, but it is not impossible to build this alone (I did). 2) Take your time to layout all of the pieces, in numbered order, and ensure that everything is present. Build the desk in the room it's meant to be in. 3) Decide what orientation you want the desk to be in before you start building. There are two ways to build the desk, so make sure you know how you want the desk to be set up in your room. 4) For every step, secure every screw *before* you tighten them, to ensure you did it correctly, and that every piece is straight. Once that's done, tighten the screws one at a time. 5) Have a vacuum and/or duster ready. There's a lot of Styrofoam in the box, and it's bound to get on the floor and be stuck to various sections of the desk. Some feedback for the company: 1) While the desk generally felt like it was well-packed into the box, it looks like there are a series of micro-scratches on the surface of the desk. They don't affect structural integrity and aren't really noticeable via touch, but they are still there. 2) I understand the numbered stickers are vital to mark the individual pieces accordingly, but they're very difficult to remove and leave a sticky residue behind. 3) There's a lot of plastic being used to wrap some of the individual pieces. Two things about this: I feel like using paper to wrap these pieces would be better, and about 1/3 of the pieces weren't wrapped at all, negating the purpose a tad. ... show more

I was looking for an L-shaped desk to set up for gaming. This desk was actually my second choice; when the first failed to arrive, I ended up ordering this one instead - and I love it! Saved a lot of money and got a nice setup out of it. Shipping-wise, the box arrived and was pretty trashed. The pieces of the desk were mostly untouched, however, except a couple nicks/scuffs on the edges (pictured) that I don’t really care about and are easily covered up by desk accessories (clip-on headset holder, cup holder, etc). The desk is great value for the price, provided yours arrives unscathed or you don’t care about a couple nicks in the furniture. It just arrived today, took me 2.5 or so hours to assemble by myself, which was very doable. The instructions looked weird at first but they ended up making sense as I went through the process of putting it together. Holes all aligned well, wasn’t missing any pieces or screws. I love the color (got the Teak model) and the shape/height of the desk is perfect for me. The shelving on the side is an awesome accent and very stable. I had enough space on the desk itself for plenty of my PC-related knickknacks (printer, iPad, etc) to fit and still have space for whatever I’m working on at the time. My computer tower is on the larger side but still fit on the stand because the feet raise it above the weird legs on the stand (pictures). It was nice that it was included - makes me feel better about my PC’s airflow in a carpeted room. Desk feels sturdier than expected, but I can’t help being concerned that the frame would bend if I were to try to move the desk by myself. Maybe if I got sliders for the feet...? Though I just got this, I would totally recommend it. I’ll probably update this a couple weeks in if I have any further feedback but I think the basics are covered. Isn’t it pretty? 😄 ... show more

TL;DR: great desk, worth the money, very minor fit issues that don't affect the structure. I can honestly say I was worried ordering this desk as many reviews for the marble version were not great. After recieving mine and getting it together, I'm pretty certain their issues were shipping related damages. I had a couple small dings in the box, but the foam was right there protecting the product. I can see how some could have been dinged through if the package was really mishandled, though. The desk itself is wonderful! The wrap on the top pieces is beatufilly done, no raw edges or bubbling. The gold is a LOT nicer in person. Its not that tacky super bright gold, but it's not the more bronzy color that I have seen on these things before either. I did have some minor issues with fit as I put it together, as some of the bars did not sit quite flush to each other and the corner piece has small gaps. Despite those fit issues, when it's all together, it's very sturdy and the adjustable feet help it stay sturdy on my very uneven floors (old house). Pay no mind to the unfinished room in the pictures as we have had to move into this room early. The closeup is of the gap at the corner piece. This desk punches way above its price point. Somewhere out there, someone designed this desk and thought, "tell me this desk isn't great. Go on tell me". I can't find anything wrong with it. Here's why this desk is fantastic: The wood composite is covered in a thick TEXTERED veneer (feels like wood flooring). This will not chip or pullup easily. The Metal components are thick and have thick durable paint so it will not scratch easily. Everything fits tightly. Sure, sometimes you have to use a little force to line up a fitting but you will discovery that it was designed that way. It is so that each piece has resistance to pressure or bending. The bolts are thick and 5-sided. This reduces slippage. The height adjusters on the bottom of the legs are of high quality. No wobbling. The aesthetic is simple and clean. The shipping was done with care. Plenty of cushioning. I highly recommend this desk to everyone. The only Con is that the setup can take a few hours. But hey, all great things take time. :) ... show more

I just moved to a bigger townhouse with my own office so decided to pull the plug on a new desk. I spent days and many hours trying to decide on the best desk to purchase and I gotta say, this is a great one! The sturdiness is unreal for a "cheaper" priced desk & the quality is fantastic. Those that helped me move actually thought the marble was glass it's such great quality! The gold base is beautiful as well. My main goal was to find a desk that could easily fit my 3 monitor setup (2 desktops, a laptop & a docking station) and this one supercedes my expectations. The only con is the directions, it wasn't crazy difficult to put together but there were a few pieces missing from the instructions (shelf number "10" was not listed on the directions; therefore, we had to guess where it went - it wasn't hard to guess though). Otherwise it took about 2 hours to put together with one other person. I highly recommend another person to assist in putting this together as it helps to put tension on the shelves while tightening the screws at the end. The box also was not damaged at all.
