  • Simple and effective tool, not needing turn plates saves money
This is a good tool that does what it's supposed to. I believe that anyone who watches (and follows) the instructions will be able to measure their alignment. Making any alignment adjustments will obviously be on you though. The instructions are videos, with a dedicated one for each topic (assembly, camber, toe, and caster). They are are detailed step by step walkthroughs. You can also download and/or print out the written instructions if that's what you want. Caster must be measured by turning the front wheels specific amount (every alignment system requires this) and measuring the difference in camber to find caster. The required turn angle is built into the tool itself, so turn plates are not needed. It probably takes maybe a couple more minutes per side than using turn plates would, but since turn plates cost a couple hundred bucks the trade off is more than worth it. If you were going to be measuring caster on a very constant basis, then turn plates could probably be justified. Details: There are some nice details for this product, like the tape measure slots and degrees conversion chart. There are also rubber feet that go on the bottom of the plates to provide stability when measuring toe. The toe stand-offs attach with plastic screws, not metal ones. But as the company explains on their site, the screws are plastic so that if you accidentally drop or step on the tool, instead of the plates or stand-offs possibly being damaged, the easy to replace screw will take the force instead. They include 2 extras so if you do damage them you can just pop the extras in and keep going. Bottom line: this is a great all in one alignment tool. It functions as toe plates, a camber gauge, and turn plates, without needing those three separate tools. Camber measurement is not “hands-free”, but I personally do not miss that as you just hold it up and read the camber value, simple. ... show more

  • Takes Time But 100% Worth It
This is a great tool that pays for itself in just a couple of uses, especially if you regularly adjust your alignment for fine-tuning purposes. I've continually been unimpressed with the service provided by shops when needing to come in for things that I didn't have the capability to do in-house and finally pulled the trigger on doing my own alignments. The tool is easy to use and while not as accurate as an electronic system, you can determine your camber and caster close to where you want it and can dial in total toe quite precisely. It takes a little bit of time/trial and error, especially if you're working on the ground, but the results are 100% worth it. ... show more

  • High value and accurate though with a few flaws
After the local alignment shop broke numerous parts of my front end and refused to make it right I decided to write off mechanics and do the work myself. This tool works well, not perfect but you get alot for your money. I was able to perform a 2 wheel alignment on my truck with this tool, it drives perfectly straight. A few things I don't like though. The aluminum plates and the standoffs are not all that sturdy, be very careful not to bump them on something or they could bend quite easily. My truck tires were not all that large but the standoffs that came with the tool were not long enough to reach my rims. I emailed tenhulzen and they sent me some more that I could bolt in series to make an extra long standoff. Also, the plates were not high enough so I had to place 2x4's under the plates, according to tenhulzen this is okay. The digital readout was very sensitive and based on the driving results seems to be accurate. You will need some sort of turn plates when measuring camber, caster, and toe. I ended up using two plastic cutting boards under each wheel and some silicone pray between the two plates. This allowed the suspension to settle and find its equilibrium position before taking measurements. You will also need two flat level spots in your garage, use the tool to measure you how flat your garage floor is, you will need this number later to compensate your camber measurements. Overall I am very happy with this tool. ... show more

  • This works.
A little fussy to set up but did the job very well. Sure beats the price and quality of my last 'Professional' alignment. Read the instructions first... twice.

  • Accurate in identifying settings, impossible to adjust on the fly
While the product does provide value in identifying suspension settings it becomes impossible to effectively do much about it. Example: buyer has a Ford mustang, specifically a gt350 and while the product can tell you what your toe is, theirs no way to get under the vehicle to adjust your settings if your vehicle is situated on the ground. Now if you make the decision to put your vehicle up on lifts in order to adjust toe or camber.... theirs no way to mount the device to your rim or tire in order to then get settings and then effectively adjust. I honestly would have returned it but ended up on business travel and missed the window to return. ... show more

  • Easy to use and understand
This kit does it all, caster, camber and toe, easy to understand exactly what you are measuring, the super fine accuracy of the gauge is needed for these minute angles, theres written directions as well as videos, a level floor is nit needed because you can read the angle of the floor and the gauge corrects for it by re-zeroing it out. Great product!! ... show more

  • Works well if you're careful
Like many DIY tools this alignment tool works well if you are careful making the measurements. After leveling the car in the garage, I used it to measure the camber and toe-in on a car which was recently aligned on an FMC 4 Wheel alignment system at a shop that I trust. The measurements I obtained were very close to that on the shop's printout. I purchased this tool to allow iterative modifications to the alignment settings on a classic sports car without needing to return to the alignment shop after every modification. After I get the settings close to where I believe they should be I will take it in to the shop to fine tune. ... show more

  • Waste of money
My first review in Amazon. Instructions are not clear (you have to spend countless hours on google and youtube to find info how to actually use it). No vehicle specifications. very bias results. Save money and just go to the shop for the alignment. Shipped back and did not receive full refund. Very Disappointed. ... show more
