Description

It is year XX of the Reiwa era. Through an agreement between the Human Realm and the Hell Realm, Asakusa was transformed into a tourist attraction where the living can meet the dead. One day, the Spider's Thread was dropped from Heaven down into Hell, allowing many of Hell's prisoners to escape. King Enma thus orders his novice Hell Guardian daughter, Rin, to capture the escapees along with Goemon Ishikawa and a few other trustworthy prisoners. When they descend to the Human Realm for their mission, their investigation leads them to an event held by a former prisoner of Hell, Shinobikuni, where she reveals a pardoning app that will forgive people for their sins. What is Shinobikuni's goal? And what will become of the humans who were promised entry into Heaven? This is a story that encompasses Heaven and Earth - what fate awaits this world?

  • Dedication. Laughter. TEARS 🤣
Style: Tengoku Struggle
I can read a bit too fast at times, making these seem super short and take a little bit of time in comparison to other games... however, it should be noted that each character has a great depth to their storyline and development with the MC in the game. And my favorite character isn't even romanceable. Get it for King Enma, he is 🔥. And the 'corporate slave' character who works under King Enma; their dynamic is pure 👌. While im not one to usually play games that divert from my ahem, belief.... it is a game. It is fictional. And I have to accept in this fictional setting this is the factual. Fictional does not make reality. So therefore, I played this game taking a bit of a leap. Because of how it ...conflicts with my belief...and toiled over if I should or not. But I've come to terms with the fictional does not make reality mindset. So, here it goes.... It was interesting. From the prologue, to each of the characters routes.... even some of which I was unsure if I even wanted to choose.... But did because I am a completionist.... the history beneath everything that occurs is also 👌 it ties everything together and some games of this genre just dont do that... its very detailed with the storyline sure it could have been longer I mean, every otome game player wants to romance a little longer, usually. But, I liked the endings for the characters. I liked the buildup in the plot line, the tension, the relationship between the supporting characters and the main interests... I liked it. This company was so detailed with their game.... they made a song for an advertisement inside the game.... about cat food... I ended up listening to the song to the end because I was unable to sink it in that this is how dedicated they were for this game 😂 but yes.... a song about cat food for an advertisement was included just for the storyline and what was happening. I won't spoil any more than this, but, this game also reveals that not all bad sins are done for bad reasons, and not all good people, are good to the end. They just let go of what burdened them. I recommend this game, because of the dedication I was able to pick up on from the company that made the game while playing through. Its very evident. And how can I not love a game that those making it seemed to love so much to include minor details like the one I mentioned. And, a tip, go back and do a wrong ending just once after doing all the routes and getting best endings. Other than that, I think it was worth the price. Others can say what they want, but in turn I also get to say what I want. And I think this was worth the price. (Buy it on sale, its worth the price.) 😂 OH AND THE VISUALS ... Yes. 💯❤️🔥 I could study the artwork all day just to improve my own art by studying what I see in the game. And I occasionally do this for any type of media that fascinates me with good looking characters.... so yes if you want good visuals for characters... Its got it. ... show more

  • Peak fiction

The focus of the game is definitely romance and the storyline is pretty barebones. Rather than getting closer to the LI’s through plot progression, it’s more like plot progression happens by getting closer to the LI’s. But it is seriously solid entertainment, covers some surprisingly dark themes, and I found it hard to put down. Soundtrack slaps and CGs are equally sweet & spicy. I’d recommend it for people like me who just love getting to know the characters, and love camaraderie & slice-of-life moments, and I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone who loves story-heavy plots. Lastly, even as someone who’s sick of all the Goemon Ishikawa’s out there, I would die for this one 🥺🫶 ... show more

  • Great Concept, fun characters! Story is messy!
Style: Tengoku Struggle
The media could not be loaded. First of all, I pre ordered and I got all the cards! The box is a little creased on the sides but still good! Now review: Overall score 7.5/10 It's not a bad game but I didn't enjoy the story as much as I thought I would. For me when it comes to otome games, it's mostly about the characters first and the plot second. But the story could not be ignored as it felt like the first otome game where I was kind of confused on reading. The plot revolves around basically giving you a serious mission then just being lazy about it. Example, I kept asking myself "why aren't the villains doing anything after the prologue?" They set up this somewhat serious plot about how it's important to get these prisoners back to hell. But it just comes off as super slow paced, or then when the game is trying to not slow down, there's not enough dialgue explained for certain scenes. Example: the mc got hurt in Jack's route over some coffee but I didn't pick that up in the scene until later, it just happened like "ouch!" Says mc. "Are you alright?" Explains Jack. Then bam, CG time! "Forget the coffee! Jacks staring at me! Omg!" Says mc basically lol. You get a lot of small scenes like that, not a big Issue but it does take me some time to go like "okay, what happened?" As for the story, it's not just about them chilling and being easy going is that bothers me, in fact they mention in game they thought they'd be fighting a lot. Which, is taken as a joke but maybe would've benefited the plot. It's cute to spend time with the guy you like, infact that's what is needed plotwise to strengthen the "blood bond". however the writing suffers because of it. Waiting around for the villans to do anything is kind of boring. You start to question and realize things like "why are people bothered by Kiku's ears if they know that people from hell roam around the city?" "Why are people still surpised when they see someone is from hell chilling? Shouldn't teachings of hell be taught in school if it's so common to see someone from hell after they served their time?" I have more questions but these are just some that really break the world building, which imo is sparse in this game. NOW our Handsome guys! I am team Yona and nothing else!! 🤚😤🤚 But seriously, the cast isn't bad, just kind of alight for me. I think everyone is going to like Goemon the most but Jack and Yona are my favorites. Sharaku can be kind of pushy but sweet and Kiku tho cute dog boy needed more dog boy moments. Heard this is from the same creators of Olympia soiree, which I enjoyed but had way too many flashbacks. If that game had too much story/flashbacks then this game doesn't have enough. Overall cute! But I'd wait for a sale if you're not in a hurry right now for otome hunting. Still reccomend! ... show more

  • One of my favorites so far

I've been trying to catch up with all the otome games I have on hold to play, but I had to get this one when it finally released! I usually love AKSYS games and they always tend to do well with the storyline and inclusiveness in decisions. The beginning was a bit slow to get through for me personally because I'm a sucker for the romance, however the introduction stages are kind of necessary to get background for Goemon's route. I haven't fully played through and unlocked all character so I can't say much more. The good thing is that once you finish the prologue and get to the main choices of love interest page, you can always go back to each stage from the main menu page to select. Also the art and voice acting is great! ... show more
