    • dogs love but eye goop after months on it
2 different breed dogs and one is a year old and the other is 16. Eye goop we cant rid unless we only feed them a macrobiotic diet so we add some sprouted brown rice, low/no sodium beans like aduki (for protein) and greens like broccoli and or green beans for ease in pooping and squash and or pumpkin or purple cabbage and apples and other sprouted whole grains thru out the week with this food and they love it and lessens eye boogers. I was having to use similisan dry eye eye drops as per the vet for months till we discovered it was the food tho the vet said it was not YUP it was the food. EYE GOOP stopped immediately after stopping the food. So it was only the older dog on it as pup was still on pup food but once we switched her over she got the eye goop too! Not sure what it was but once we gave the vet approved dr dawn Greenberg from NY diet she was better. It seems this diet she gave me was from balanceit . com I hope this helps others. I wish I knew why this was happening but it does and sadly this is the only food they enjoy. It figures. ... show more

    • My dog won't touch it😮💨
It's funny when the review asks about judging flavor, I didn't eat any but neither did my dog. It's been 4 days in a row, she won't touch it. Very unusual, I raised her on Salmon Fished based dog foods, even if she doesn't love it at first, eventually after a couple days, she'll eat it. I tried adding canned salmon and she still won't eat it. I'm preplexed. And my dogs seems to be too. It doesn't smell particularly good for what it's worth either.😣 ... show more

I was looking for a dog kibble that was similar in smell, etc. to the one I get for my cats (my doggie really wants to eat cat food when the cats are fed, which she obviously can't) and I was happy that I found this company and this flavor. Finally my pup is eating her food!

Charlie our 5-year-old pug really enjoys fish. We were feeding him whitefish until we found Tender & True salmon. Now he will not eat anything else. We have tried mixing Tender & True salmon with other foods to give him some variety, but he picks out the Tender & True salmon. It is amazing!
