Bought an old house with a super old fence. Part of it was missing. Used this to cover the hole. Our newest GSD could hop the fence so we put an extra layer across the top. He’s not able to get out now which means I don’t have to trek through the neighborhood in the middle of the night when he wants to go wandering for nightlife.

We put some of this temporary fencing on the west side of our farm driveway. It hasn’t snowed enough to really asses its snow-mitigating effect but it seems like it might be better suited for other tasks than for heavy snow. It is very lightweight, which makes it easier to install and work with but also limits its uses. We have several gardens on our farm and I suspect it will work somewhat better around the gardens to lessen animals getting into them than as a snow stopper or snow slower-downer. The poles bend, which surprised me, you don’t really want fence posts to bend. Overall good but not great, would recommend for light duty usage.

I ordered these specifically to keep the deer away from my arbor vitae bushes. We have already fenced in the area with a 4 ft tall fence and with this additional fence that we placed in front of the bushes, we have so far not had any damage from the deer. The fencing was easy to put up and we will take it down in the spring when the deer will have plenty of other food to eat.

We are in the process of having our backyard fence replaced and needed something temporary for our dogs. This fence was the perfect solution. The height of the fence is just high enough and sturdy enough to keep our two hound dogs in the yard while our wood fence is removed. The included plastic stakes look wimpy but are strong enough to hold the fence up. The length of the fence allowed us to create a long dog run next to our house for those frequent outdoor trips the dogs need to make. Wire ties are included to tie the fence to the stakes. Keep the heavy duty plastic bag the fence comes in so you can roll the fence up and store it for another day and another project.

We have some preschoolers that come and spend the day with us and we don’t want to take any chances, so we got this fence to keep them safe. We set it around our backyard. We put the poles around the border, then attached the plastic fence with the included wire ties. We were able to make it straight so it looks good. Now we can easily keep an eye on the kids.

This temp fence is intended to protect our recently planted evergreens. Between the bucks marking territory and rubbing the bark off the trunks and the hungry deer eating the needles off some varieties of trees, we have had to go to great lengths protecting the tender trees. The irony is that we also feed the herd, so we are actually inviting them to the salad bar. This kit comes with a roll of plastic snow fence, 25 metal stakes and 100 color matched zip ties. We received the green colored kit because the bright orange fencing would be pretty obnoxious throughout the winter. We are a little frustrated in the varying descriptions on the Amazon page. The height of the fencing is not 48". It is 40". The metal stakes are 48". This is a lightweight fence and shouldn't be used where securing an area from children or pets is a concern. We are using it as a deterrence to the damage from the deer herd. The fencing is heavier than a plastic baggie, but not too much more. It's more like the plastic rings that hold a 6-pack of pop together. It is tear resistant, but will cut easily with a sharp knife. The steel stakes are not very stout. They are adequate for securing the fencing in a straight line, but if anyone or thing pushes against it, the posts will bend. Also, the few extra inches of length for the stakes are not enough to provide a solid bite in the earth. Our posts were about 6" lower than the fence height by the time they were secure enough to anchor the fence to. Cost wise, this is a complete kit that falls within the average price if you just bought a roll of fencing from the big box stores. For our needs, we are testing to see if the deer really are deterred by the wrap of scary plastic. We hope so.
