The quality of the coated tubing and bracket is excellent.Should be completely free of any problems with weather over many years.It comes with a mounting gasket which makes a good seal against the mounting surface,mined in particular had a slight crease in the aluminum flashing that it sealed against the.I thought the screws were a little small but it’s only holding up about 2 pounds total and the bracket was very secure after mounting.Easy to adjust the pole for making the unit sit horizontal and it’s an easy to set up kit with a set of extra parts.Fair value for an all inclusive kit and it’s perfect to mount the Tempest unit on. ... show more

    • Worked great to mount Tempest unit to deck railing with (nylon) bracket straps
This is a good product that seems sturdy and well-made. It is designed so you can set the pole in different positions to get more distance horizontally or vertically from the bracket. The mounting hardware (screws and all) it comes with is good, but for my setup, I thought it would be easiest to mount it to the back of my deck with two mounting straps (about 2 feet long each), which worked well - there are slots for the straps and some careful routing and typing of the straps gave me a sturdy mount. However you mount this, the Tempest unit fits on the mounting pole very securely with the screw ring that comes with the Tempest unit. Highly recommended. ... show more

Excellent quality! I mounted this to my out of use chimney with ease. It might be too short for some setups depending on how high above the ground your Tempest is from the roofline. Very easy to mount, just make sure you don't drop any of the mounting materials. While the setup seems intuitive, I would have appreciated if there were some instructions provided just for the sake of knowing what the preferred order of the spacers is. ... show more

Very pleased with this new wearer station! All the detections were within expected parameters easy and the smartphone appp (osx) worked great. Note that you can use an old iPad as a monitor for wall or desk, all you need is the plug in power supply. Very satisfied so far!

    • Excellent but expensive weather station
This weather station has no moving parts, which hopefully will make it less susceptible to ice damage compared to more conventional systems. Its read out is primarily through an app on you smart phone. There is no in house monitor display like many of the other systems have. The monitoring seems very accurate and the added features that the app draws from the internet e.g. lightning strikes in the area are very helpful. Set up of app and connection to IoT was easy with relatively few drops in operation during the last couple of months. Had to reeboot the in door port, once. Runs on Android and feeds into the grass roots weather station networks, if you wish to do so. So, all product features make it a 5 out of 5 yet the price does not. Considering that it is just the sensor with no in house monitoring display it is priced at a hefty primium over most of the more conventional weather stations and you have to purchase the mount separately at a hefty price as well. ... show more

super easy to mount and square up. This mount holds the weather station up and away from the structure its attached to. seemed a bit pricey but made the correct installation much easier.
