I own a DJI Phantom 2 (without a camera) and occasionally it tips over during landings, so when I bought my new Phantom 3 Standard I definitely wanted to protect the camera. Initially when I purchased the leg extensions I knew they would work, but my only concern was once I installed them how was I going to keep them on the quad inside my carrying case. The extensions installed within seconds and then I discovered that there are two different latches that hook onto the quad's legs and one of these latches is rounded and allows for quick removal. (See attached photo). Problem solved! The legs fit snugly into a side pouch on my carrying case and they are used on all of my flights because they are so easy to put on and take off. The other feature I like about the extensions is that their additional height allows me to add a lens shade & various filters to my camera and during initialization the camera is clear of the ground and it doesn't hit objects that might interfere with its operation or re-calibration. This is a simple designed product, but it works extremely well and is worth the investment. I'm going to see if there's one designed for the Phantom 2. ... show more

I have landed the Phantom 3 in grass and on gravel and the camera will touch the gravel when not using this product. Not good for the camera. After installing these landing gear stabilizers it lands much smoother and I also purchased the carbon fiber camera protector. When landing now its very smooth and comforting to know that my Gimble and Camera are protected. When doing fast manuvers in flight you will get a glimpse of the landing gear. ... show more

These seem to be designed on a basic universal pattern done by several companies. It gets your drone up about another half an inch off the ground and give you a bit wider stance to prevent tipping. They are very useful with using a cameral lens hood/shield since those tend to be millimeters from dragging the pavement. The stabilizers flex a bit when under stress such as a hard landing and can pop off in some cases but I have been hand catching most of my landings lately so this isn't as big of an issue as I saw in the beginning. I added a gimbal guard to my drone and zip tied it to the leg of the drone. The plus is the zip ties go around the landing gear stabilizers too and seem to give them a little better hold and I believe less chance of being knocked loose in a hard landing. If I could have any changes I'd make these a bit higher and a bit wider. ... show more

Landing Gear Stabilizers for DJI Phantom3 Standard, Advanced, Professional and 4K Quacopters Drones I like the concept of these landing gear stabilizers. I just received them and tried them out and they worked really good. They attached easily and were easy to remove. They kept the AC stable both while taking off and landing on the ground all the while keeping it high enough so that grass did not interfere with the camera and gimbal. I use a gimbal protector on my AC and these stabilizers did not interfere at all with it. In fact, I believe they helped add additional support in keeping the protector in place. Unfortunately the set I received one of the stabilizers must not have been molded incorrectly and did not attach as snugly to the AC leg and the other one did. I will send them back and try another set. The only suggestion I might add is that the manufacturer add some type of rubber proctors or boots, what ever you want to call them, to the bottom of each foot. Otherwise great product.     • Better quality, a bit bigger!
Do the people that make drones not understand that these tiny legs will not always allow the quad to land correctly? This landing gear helps, but, its still not really big enough. I would much rather have the legs all the way to the underside of the motors, that way, it will land nicely every time, and stay out of the cameras way. This product works better than just having the standard legs though! And works good! ... show more

Not quite as robust as expected. But, having said that, I realize after using them for a few flights that they need to be pliable for EZ-on EZ-off utility. And... they delivered 100% as advertised. DEFINITELY an item I will be happy to keep in my kit. Nice to have a way to keep my camera above the fray when flying from grass and rougher surfaces. They DO add stability to the landings. I'd buy 'em again! ... show more

I bought these place on my phantom 3 se. I have never flown a quadcopter until I purchased this phantom. This makes my landings a piece of cake. They also snap on and off quickly when I want to put my drone in the case to transport it. 1 quick warning though. They will show up in some of your footage if you make quick and jerky directional changes. I learned how to prevent that as I learned how sensitive my controller is. ... show more
