  • It Works
It will take time to find all the settings and to set up. The manual is easy to understand and is well explained. If you do buy this remote I recommend that you buy extra batteries (rechargeable will also work). The remote does burn through batteries.

  • Spektrum impressing a Frsky/TBS User
Solid radio for a beginner and veteran to other RC hobbies. I love the way it feels in my hand and the wheel for steering is excellent. Kinda takes learning to one hand steer at high speed but would not recommend that anyways. The touch pad is a bit finnecky but with the right touch you eill get around in the menus fine. Not as big a deal as others make it out to be. The range is really impressive as well. I was not expecting to make it around the block like I do with my 900mhz rx stuff for drones but sure enough it can and even more! I liken this radio! Its outperforming my video range on 800mW 5.8 Ghz!!!! Overall happy. Thanks ... show more

  • Great transmitter
Great for crawling! Use mine for my rock bouncer and it has withstood quite a bit of abuse and still looks brand new!

  • Lots of functions but ok quality
What you see is what you get lots of function no back lighting on display. Most diss concerning was the rubber shock proofing on the outside edges, served its purpose, but will not last long other than that a good weekend warrior for about two years

  • The controls take some getting used to.
Bought this controller for my crawler because of the five channels. The radio works well, but the touch controls take some getting used to. Trying to put in a model name or make adjustments takes a while. I made myself continue to use the radio and after a slight learning curve, I have gotten used to them. Other than that, it works well, great range and a ton of features in the radio. ... show more

  • Don't buy wait for revised version
This thing is a joke, 70$ more than the standard dx5, with a bit of rubber on that falls out of its position. the lanyard holder broke in 5 min walking on trail. Yours will to. The scroll touch thing instead of the user friendly tested scroll wheel is a frigging joke, even on the least sensitive settings it jumps around doesn't respond as you think it will. If they had stayed with the wheel I'd be a ton more happy with it. But, unfortunately for them the entire frustrating experience is caused by that POS tough thing. ... show more
