I went with the NX10 because of the battery capacity, but it still seems to be overpriced. It handles comfortably, and feels solid. I have about 50 different models and now I have to rebind all my airplanes, but that would need to happen with any radio. I am very happy that I could download all the saved models on my DX9 (had to use a micro SD card in a holder to grab them off my DX9, then remove the micro SD from the holder to insert it into my NX10), but they all came up just fine. While I was setting it up, it did freeze once and wouldn't do anything for a while. I thought that I was going to have to pull the battery, but I finally was able to turn it off, after which it came up just fine. I don't like how long I have to press the "on/off" button to either turn it on or turn it off, but it is what it is. I do like the color screen, and I can see it well even in the sunlight. I can't seem to turn up the audio volume as high as my DX9. I like to hear the voice count down on the timer, and on this one I can barely hear it except when other planes are flying close to me. All in all, I believe that I will get used to it, and it already seems to work just fine. When I went into system settings to bind, it did bind with my receiver, but the receiver wouldn't follow any control movements. I finally realized that there is a bind screen without going into the system settings, and that works as advertised. Go for it if you want to spend the money. For myself, I picked it over the NX6 and NX8 only because of the battery capacity. Oh, and why have a 10 channel transmitter when there isn't a 10 channel receiver available??? ... show more

Have had other transmitters but moving up to this was so nice! Great Transmitter Very happy with it!!!

    • Sweet spot if spektrum tx range?
Compared to nx8, this ten channel tx may be more channels than you need but it has a much larger more practical battery, and Hall effect gimbals. I think it’s worth the extra - the magnetic usb plug is good, but you can get inexpensive ones for your other transmitters if you want. Works well - WiFi updates work, and the build is solid. There are open tx alternatives for a little less, but if you want to fly rather than mess around with figuring out programming, configuration, and add-on bits and pieces, the spektrum option is well worth it.     • NX10 froze after barely one year use; okay customer service
Initial review (early Jan 2024): Bought this new from Amazon December 2022. Been well kept and used regularly for just over a year. Now it completely froze on the startup page. Unplugged the stock battery and replugged it would not make a difference. Sent back to Horizon/Spektrum on my own (~$20) Updates: (mid Jan 2024) HH quickly fixed the problem and sent back to me, with $10 coupon. Hope this fix will make it last a few years ... show more
