Definitely a great remote very sturdy has a lot of options only downside it does not come with a receiver and the buttons on the back don't like the work you have to slide your finger over it a few times till they work , past that has great range and with bines without a plug. No more searching for transmitters, I have 9 RC’s bound to the DX5 rugged and it works flawlessly !…..it came with a nice user manual too, very intuitive. Would highly recommend.

I really like this radio, now I only need one radio for all of my models. Interface isn't the most intuitive but I'm learning.

    • Great Remote
This thing looks great and comfortable for all day use. The touch screen does take some time getting use to but I like it. Another downfall for it, is that the batteries die pretty damn quick on it. I have one remote now for all my rc cars. You can have up to 20 cars on it. 👍🏻👍🏻

It’s an upgrade from the old receiver I was using and you can totally feel the difference racing around. Only frustrating thing is the touch pad but I’m getting the hang of it. Overall, solid.

    • Touch screen and menu broken
Got this out of the box and turned it on to find it stuck on a blinking caution screen. After further reading it seems to be a calibration menu, but it’s stuck on a loop and since the touch screen is completely unresponsive there is no way to exit or do anything. Completely disappointed. I’ll be going to my local shop to make sure the next one I get works. ... show more

Love Spektrum - didn't love this. It looks rugged but feels cheap. Rather than the intuitive wheel with click, there is a completely wonky thumb touch panel that annoyed the %^&* out of me. I returned and got the DX5C, which I love btw.
