We have been searching for a new comforter (NOT duvet cover!) for weeks now. We've ordered multiple from Amazon and have looked at a ton in stores. We wanted a bigger, poofier, fluffier comforter that was actually good quality. After being disappointed numerous times, we've finally found it! The dark grey color is awesome (the lighting in some of my photos make it look a little lighter than it actually is) and it is super comfy! We tested it out for the first time last night and normally, I get really hot at some point throughout the night (from a much lighter comforter, too) and I never did with this one. It's a really great combo of being a little heavy/dense (will be great for Wisco winters) but also light, poofy, and fluffy at the same time. I'm not sure how they made that happen, but they did. I would highly recommend getting the king size even if you have a queen - seems to run a little smaller than most. The only thing is we haven't washed it yet to see how it holds up, but I'm guessing it'll be just fine. I'll update my review if not. Also, ignore the wrinkles in the photos - those will obviously come out after it's washed and dried. Needless to say, I'm super happy with this purchase. It's fluffy, soft, and warm. The color is a very nice shade of grey. It's exactly what I expected. It comes in vacuum sealed packaging, but if you follow the directions on the listing, it fluffs up very nicely. The sizes are a bit misleading. I had just finished making a queen size quilt, so I was very aware of blanket measurements. The king size IS the average size of a queen size quilt, 90 X 108. Therefore, this blanket will not fit a king size bed. If you have a queen bed, order the king size and it will fit. ... show more

Just received this today. Very soft, not really as fluffy as I thought it would be but nice. However, I ordered a king size but it doesn't fit like my current king size comforter, it's smaller. I would purchase a king size for a queen bed. Wonder if the company makes any bigger sizes like a California king? ... show more

This is unusually warm. I used to use a heating blanket each winter but found I no longer need it with this and just one other blanket. Stay warm all night. I don't like to be cold, but, I also don't like to be covered in 20 pounds of blankets and would love sleeping with nothing, ever. This blanket is very light, considering how well it insulates. I bought this a while ago - we are talking well over a year- and I had given it 5 stars because it’s great…but I had to come back and say, it is more than great, it is super comfy and plush and fluffy. It is one of those that you see in the magazines that look all billowy on the bed and when you lay on it it just poofs around you, if that makes sense? I absolutely love love love this comforter. You don’t get hot under it and it has all different tie places so it doesn’t really matter what duvet cover you get, it will match (at least I haven’t had an issue). I have a queen bed that sits high and my room is vintage bohemian so I bought the king comforter because I wanted it to come down further on the sides. Even after washing and drying, it remind it’s shape and awesomeness! Anyway, I can’t say or recommend this comforter enough. If you are wondering which one to buy, this is it!!! ... show more

Love this comforter! I've had an old down alternative one for years and it was time to replace it. I don't know how they do it but this comforter is not hot in the summer! It's thick and plush and seems very luxurious, but it's not heavy and suffocating like some comforters can be. It breaths when you need it to, but also keeps you warm when you want it to. I have purchased many comforters on Amazon looking for the perfect duvet insert, and I finally found it with this comforter! We have a California King Sleep Number and I'm picky about the length of the comforter. Like I actually want my blanket to cover the whole mattress and hang down a bit beyond. This meets my criteria and fills my duvet perfectly (Kenneth Cole brand). It is heavy weight-wise, but it's large so that's to be expected. When sleeping I enjoy the weight, and I don't necessarily think it makes me sleep hot. This comforter hit all my needs: -Fluffy/thick -lightweight -not too hot (still works in summer) -stand-alone (no duvet covers are going over it) -alternative down insides -cotton or cotton-like exterior -white My biggest issue was most of the ones I was finding were super thin. I wanted to sleep in a lightweight cloud/marshmallow, and that’s exactly what this is! If I’m being extra picky, I wish it didn’t have the loops to button into a duvet cover, but they aren’t noticeable when you sleep, and for those who might want it, there’s more versatility.
