When I first received it and installed it i loved it. It sat right, and made for and easy carry. It even worked if I want to use my IWB holster no problem. But after I came home from a range trip and had to clean the pistol the love stopped. You see I read some previous reviews and took a chance. They were right. The 43 cannot be field stripped with the clip installed. The plate that comes with it is not milled correctly. When the slide lock is released, the slide moves forward an 1/8" of an inch and the back plate hits the trigger bar. The slide will not come off without prying the back plate down and off so that it can move forward. Now if you want to stick a flat screwdriver in between the back plate and the slide and pry it downward until you get it off and out of the way, with the firing pin and extractor under some tension each time, this will work great for you. I prefer it the way it was designed. It can be fixed easily with a file and about 30 min. of time carefully filing the plate down to where it clears the trigger bar. But then you need to refinish the bare aluminum. All in all it works good. But it should be made correctly the first time, or be labelled as a part that needs fitting. If it worked as designed 4 stars, 3 stars if the company replied to me without me having to troubleshoot it. But it gets two stars because I had to smith it and the company must know what it going on and ignores customers. ... show more

It says no gunsmithing. That is a lie.. I had to file my back plate so it would stay in place meaning the firing pin would rest in the plate. I had to file down the top part about 1/32 of an inch or a little more. And filed a little slot on the bottom so the pin can rest in place. It took about 30 minutes or so to complete the task. This clip is more for the 111. But it can fit the 709 slim with minor modifications. It is now on mine, does not slide around nor move. It's solid. It did require work. The back plate is one piece milled and seem more durable than the stock back plate. Thank you techna clip for the amazing simple product! ... show more

Style: Kahr 9mm .40 Gun Belt Clip (Right-Side)
It can be really tough to remove the backplate from a Kahr pistol. This is something I can't hold against Technaclip, their product is nice. I also love Kahr pistols. But, it's something you need to consider if installing a TechnaClip on a Kahr pistol. I didn't mind the challenge, but my mechanical skills are 9.9/10 and I felt like I needed 3 hands. There is a YouTube video that shows how to replace a firing pin, which you won't be doing, but it first shows you how to remove the backplate. However, at 2:20 he shows just sliding the backplate off after you release spring pressure. Mine wasn't nearly that easy, I had to rap on the backplate with a plastic screwdriver handle before the backplate would break free. The clip then mounts to the new backplate, which is plastic. Do not over torque the screws that attach the clip to the plastic backplate because it could easy to strip out! ... show more

There haven't been many reviews showing how well this item conceals, so I decided to put up a few pictures. I am a a fairly thin guy, so if I wear a tshirt with an IWB (in-side waist band) holster it looks like I'm carrying, or have a full colostomy bag (neither is ideal). This conceals so well, even wearing slimmer fitting shirts hides the pistol without a problem -- truly a great way to take advantage of an already thin firearm. I would recommend this for anyone who has a pistol with a safety due to lack of trigger cover. So if it does the job, why only 4 stars? Well, it's because the installation is simple assuming Techna Clip does their part. I SHOULD have been able to install this in under a minute, but the hole on mine was ever-so-slightly off. Luckily I'm somewhat handy, and after a few minutes of finagling I was able to get it to work. If your thinking about getting one, pull the trigger (pun intended) and get one already! ... show more
