I have used tech21 exclusively since they entered the marketplace to protect my MacBooks, iPads and iPhones. I love this company and have trusted them to protect my pricey tech. But this purchase was different, and perhaps because they have grown so much as a company. While I was putting this case on my iphone, the flexible on/off button cover popped out of the case. I might not have noticed it, but it was caught between my case and the phone. So the cover did not fit properly. I figured out what had happened and thought maybe the case was usable without the button. It wasn't because you have to stick your fingernail into the opening at a particular angle to use the on off button. So I wrote to customer service. I received nothing back from them. Zero. I returned the defective product through Amazon. Between the defective product and the lack of customer service, I am thinking differently about Tech 21

I purchased this cover for my wife as she wanted a shimmering cover. This wasn’t as “shimmery” as she hoped and the circle on the back is more pronounced than she wanted. Unfortunately, it was returned.

I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and the case fits my phone perfectly and looks very nice. Once the case is on, it does not come off that easily, but that likely means that it will be more protective. The mag case works great on my Apple mag charger and on my Belkin mag charger, but it does not work on the charging mat in my car. That is likely due to the charging mat in my car and not the phone case, but I thought that I would mention it.

This case is pretty nice, grippy and comfortable to hold. The sparkle pattern is subtle and not overwhelming so as to make it seem too “girly”. I haven’t been able to test its durability or drop protection but seems great. Buttons are clicky and easy to push. My only complaint is the case has a bluish tint to it that is not visible in the official photos but is visible in person. Not really a problem on my deep purple iPhone but could be on silver or gold. MagSafe works as expected. Seems like a good option if looking for a clear case. Will update as to durability and if it is scratch-resistance works as advertised in the near future. (You can see the blue tint in the last photo)

The media could not be loaded. I really like this case. I wanted some thing that was going to show the pretty purple color of my new iPhone. The clear back does let the color shine. I love the silver glitter. I do wish the circle Magcharger was not quite so pronounced. I would’ve preferred just be silver lines to be visible. I like that there is such a raised lip around the camera element to protect it. There’s also a good size beveled lip along the front side of the phone to protect the screen. It doesn’t feel too slippery in my hands. There’s a little bit of sleekness to it but I do feel like it has enough grip when holding it.

I love how durable, sturdy, and well made this case is. Yes, it is a bit pricey and these are Apple prices but you know you are getting quality. I recommend ordering one as soon as you order your new iPhone, just so you have it ready to go. The case feels durable and sturdy, yet has a bit of a softness to it, or should I say flexibility. That is important with a phone case because you don't want anything too rigid and uncomfortable to hold. Luckily I haven't had to test out how durable the case is yet nor do I want to do the drop test, and I hope I never have to because replacing a cracked iPhone screen is NOT cheap, especially the newer models (speaking from recent experience). The sparkly "glitter" is in between the case, so it isn't something you can feel nor is it one of those cheaply made glitter cases that will flake and get your hands all glittery. It also isn't one of those super blinged out cases that look way too girly, glittery, and glam. It has a more subtle looking glitter with just the right amount of shine. The case is magsafe compatible, although I don't have a magsafe charger yet so I can't speak on how well that works. I am most impressed by their protection around the back camera lens, and found it to be raised higher than any of my other iPhone 14 pro max cases. It is too soon to tell if the non yellowing theory is true as the seller advertises but I sure hope so. Overall I think this is a great quality case. If you have the budget to splurge a little on an iPhone 14 case, this is a great one to get. This brand offers cases for all the new iPhone 14 series, double check to make sure you are getting the right one (plus, pro, pro max, etc).
